❤️ Use only distilled water to cook Chinese herbs
❤️ Measure 3 and a half rice bowls (950ml) of distilled water for 1st brew
❤️ Measure 2 and a half rice bowls (750ml) of distilled water for 2nd brew
    ❤️ After many experiments, optimum timings are: 1st brew - 72 minutes. 2nd brew - 82 minutes
❤️ Combine both brews and split in half - two servings

Does the pot have a heating element on the inside? Is it coated with some dark material? Got one of these and wondering what the coating is and whether it is safe?

I don't think so. It's just a regular ceramic pot. Good point! I wonder if you could use like a clear glass pot instead?

    Hi, Lynette.👋
If price does not matter, would you still recommend a 4L pot or a 3L one for a single person usage? The purpose of me getting this pot is not only for brewing chinese medicine but for also boiling soup and porridge. I look forward to your speedy reply and for that, thank you very much!!🙏🙏🙏🌹

Hello dear, if space permits, getting a bigger pot is not a bad idea. U can also cook a whole chicken, when you have friends or family over. Cooking a larger portion for yourself then savoring it slowly over the next couple of days is also something I used to do. Saves me the hassle of cooking every single meal. Hope that helps 😊❤

For the 4 litres pot, will the water flow out when boil?

Thanks for asking! For the amount of water specified in the description box below, the water ought not to overflow. 3 bowls become 1 bowl, likewise the second brew.

If u have a large family or you're planning for one, you could also consider the 5 litre one. My sis has one larger than mine. I suspect it's the 5l one (she bought it a long time ago!) It can cook a whole chicken!
