I put it put and said now liaten.I said you hear one is really rapping out and one a deeper thud? He said ya I can hear it.The one really rapping up is the Coupe because it's a small block. The Big Block in the 55 Has the deeper thud sound. The one at the end was a Complete Different car.It had a 454 From a 1970 Chevelle LS6 Engine but had like a 488 gear or something really low. When they took off and the One that rapped really tight really quick was the 55.I read that was the actual sound it made

Hot rod did an article on a similar build and it made around 600 hp and tq on pump gas. I dont think the stock rear end will hold up to that kind of power, not even sure the TCI street fighter will. Never cared for the Dimond plate or whatever is used on the dash. Always loved the exterior shape though. Friend of mine had the 455 got it new had side pipes installed. Mistake was to have someone I do a nitrous oxide installation not long after that just seemed to be a lack of power I don't know what he did to that car while he was away but when he came back the car looked great sounded fantastic but it became slow as a snail. I guess he destroyed it with the nitrous shame.
So embarrassing for me as others use to look at us and challenge him to a highway race. He should have turned them down knowing. He would take off and loose to everyone.
My new 2003 Cobra was a killer car I will always miss that car.

Speedo cable is dry/bad, the speedo head is probably bad too. When you let off the gas the speedo jumps 20 mph. Show something other than the gauges when you are supposedly going fast.

Yes that's one heck of a car, one of the best looking cars ever, I remember the first ones in the 60s they were mostly white with blue accents, they were on the firebird line, but the style you have is the by far my fav, I used to street race a 70 firebird formula , 4.88 ring gear, with a old Corvette 327 350 hp, manual shift, open headers, it would be wound out in 1 quick hurry top end was a little more than 105 , that was along time ago, thnx for reminding me , of being young, mi Amigo !!

Not bad a totally bitchin TA but to get a halfway accurate 0to 100 it needs a new speedo and or cable. But I get it the point is to prove the rpm limit it's built for lol

If the tires “broke loose”, meaning the tires are spinning faster than the car is traveling, the speedometer would have reflected this excess speed. But it did not.
