Radial Roots Through Surgical Operation on Thai Soco Adenium

  • The video shows how radial roots are grown through surgical operation on a thai soco adenium. The operation is to cut the tap root of the adenium plant and to dry it in shade for some days and then repot the plant covering the bottom of the plant to restrict the vertical roots to grow. Desert rose has a natural bonsai like look. In addition to this if the main root is cut and the plant is hanging in shade for some days, radial roots will grow and the caudex will become thick .And the plant will become a perfect bonsai with massive caudex and radial roots. In the present project I have cut the branches because I want to increase the number of branches. And the more branches the plant has the more flowers it produces. I think this method is going to reward my garden a living master piece.
    Campers, if you love pot gardening specially adeniums and are interested in innovative ideas, you are requested to follow my uploads by subscribing my channel.
    The background music of this video is taken from TH-cam Audio Library. My heartiest thanks to them.

    • @dotbasecamp
      @dotbasecamp  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      1. Drying for some days helps healing the wounds caused by cutting / pruning and reduces the chance of rotting. 2. Drying means to make the plant undergo a period of fasting / a drought like situation.So when the plant is repotted and it becomes active , it begins to store water and nutrient in its storage organ ( i.e. caudex ) to face another future period fasting period / drought like situation. As a result the caudex grows fat.
