- dot basecamp / mad man`s gardening : The present video shares how to repot Adenium /desert rose . An adenium or desert rose is an incredibly beautiful flowering plant. It can be grown as houseplants . Having been stick to Pot Gardening for more than 20 years , I`ve found no other flowering plants as flexible and training tolerate as desert roses . This is a grafted plant and it is given the shape of a snake coiling an animal .

Thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos. I've been watching your creations for over a year now and doing a lot with desert roses after being inspired by you. I have some older plants that I have made into bonsai grown from seeds. I note the other plants have flowered regularly however not the plants I've made into bonsai haven't flowered at all. The plants are healthy enough and Look great. I was wondering how long it takes them to flower, or do bonsai flower.
Thank you very much . Keep growing adeniums up. It`s very easy to grow in the form you like. Bonsai adeniums also bloom. Older plants may lower rate of blooming. I can`t understand what special treatment you have provided to your bonsai plants. Anyway ,Don`t worry. Seed grown plants may bloom in the same year.

Hello, thank you for such an informative video. I have a small desert rose plant, it was beautiful last year and now it looks like it’s dying. I desperately want to save it as it was a gift from someone very special. I would be so grateful if I could send you a pic and see if there is any hope for it. Thank you so much again.
I'm by no means an expert, but a lay gardener probably like yourself. Are you aware that the Adenium loses leaves when it's stressed and in the the autumn of the year? That's right. I bought 5 online on Etsy. They are about 6-8" total height each. From the stress of being shipped (for a few days) and therefore being without sunlight, then their potting mix being stripped away to repot, and putting them in yet a DIFFERENT pot, the leaves on mine turned yellow and fell off. In a few days, however, they're starting to sprout new buds, which will become new leaves. I was so relieved! So just be patient and give it plenty (at least 4-6 hours) of direct sun per day and water ever so lightly. Good luck! 🌱

Can you suggest how much water should be applied just after repotting? Should it be watered thoroughly or soil should only be kept little moist?
Use moist potting mix and don`t water thoroughly for 5-7 days .Only keep the media moist by sprinkling water. But if there is any severe cut in the root, don`t use moist media. Then use dry media mixed with a teaspoon of fungicide and leave the media dry for 3-5 days and then apply water.
@@dotbasecamp Thank you for the reply sir. While using dry media should one apply full water after 3-5 days or just keep the media moist by sprinkling? I want to be conscious this time because I lost my 5 year old adenium last time due to root rot after repotting.

Plants should be uprooted from dry soil for repotting.

Meray adenium ko stem rot ho gia hai half stem is damaged... Kia is say related ap ki koi video hai kay usay kaisay repot or trim karo
Uproot the plant. Wash out soil. Dry up water.Cut off the rotten portion ( root ,stem ) with some fresh tissue , apply fungicide , dry for 7-10 days. Then repot and wait for another 7 days in case of root rot. Then sprinkle water.Apply full water when new buds appear. Don`t forget to sterilize the cutter. Don`t use old soil.

You may try Combi Safe, the same composition as SAAF ( carbendism 12% + mancozeb 63% )

You said nothing about the plant that u want to train. Ok , don`t worry. Look at the plant it has two aspects-1. the gracious bend and some radial roots . For the bend , watch my previous upload How to Grow Swan Adenium. For radial roots I have many uploads . Don`t try to do the both at the same time . First give ur adenium the bend. Then try for radial roots. Don`t cut any aerial root( root in the air). Give details of ur plant if u wish . Go ahead .Good luck.

Hi Tracy! I know from my USA friends that SAAF is not available in the USA.Technically SAAF is Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% .There are lots of brands(Combi Safe) available in the market. You can also try in online shops.
