Utah seemed lost without Rubio and having to rely on Mitchell alone was disastrous, meanwhile Gobert seemed lost in the paint and kept losing the ball. Capela fulfilled his role with Houston, but what really both the Wolves and the Jazz lacked was fire and leadership. Gobert and Towns showed no desire to be physically tough and it cost them the series. .

Golden State won 65, 73, and 65 games the prior three regular seasons ... and could have won 60-63 games this season if that had meant something to Golden State. Houston does it different, but plays at the same pace as Golden State. That's not gonna work out well in the WCF.

GS weakness is their bigs. Zaza and McGee. It's why they go so small. When they are on the floor pick and roll to get that mismatch. When GS goes small I would set back screens to get positions in the post so CP3, Iso joe and Eric Gordan can punish curry in the post.
But all of this doesn't matter if you can't make shots and play defense.

Wolves and Jazz both had a chances at game 1 in those series. Rockets are not shooting well and they went cold, but neither of those teams stepped up and took advantage of early Rocket miscues. The Wolves series was a lost opportunity as well as some strange coaching mistakes: Wiggins underperforming and Towns on the perimeter taking 3s cost them big-time. Utah seemed lost without Rubio and having to rely on Mitchell alone was disastrous, meanwhile Gobert seemed lost in the paint and kept losing the ball. Capela fulfilled his role with Houston, but what really both the Wolves and the Jazz lacked was fire and leadership. Gobert and Towns showed no desire to be physically tough and it cost them the series.
