James Harden is the best scorer in basketball. He is gonna expose the Warriors defense. Chris Paul is an ultra savvy Veteran who can drop 40 on your head. It's gonna be a tight battle, but this Rockets team is designed to specifically beat the Warriors.
Houston may have playoff experience...but GSW have CHAMPIONSHIP EXPERIENCE. Very big difference. When u have battled LEBRON face to face, toe to toe, blow for blow for 3 straight years...imagine how WAR HARD u will be as a team. Houston don't have that level of experience. GS has a far better bench. All of the guys from Houston bench do the same thing. GS has more diversity from the bench, that can make for different styles and mix things up more. And I'll be surprised if Anderson, Joe Johnson, and nene even play. It'll be Gordon, tucker, moute, and maybe green. All those guys do is shoot. If you make them pass they will be ineffective, check everyone on houstons assist numbers, none of them assist except harden and cp.

I am a life long Rockets fan. Hearing people say the Rockets never would have won if Jordan was there for the last 20 years has made me very bitter. Houston went 65-17 and put their all in this past season. Warriors went 58-24 with their bench starting for 2 weeks. Curry out a month, KD out 2 weeks along with Klay. Draymond was out as well. Let's not take the warriors for granted.

I get why the Warriors are favored and that's due to their unworldly star power. But consider a few things...
Star Power aside, this season's Warriors have these flaws...
1. Bench is not only not as good as previous years, it's flat out not good
- Iggy is no longer an offensive threat and he has lost a step defensively
- Livingston hasn't looked even close to what he gave the Warriors in years past
- David West is older and slower
- The rest of the bench is filled with scrubs and/or young guys that Kerr (rightfully so) won't trust.
2. Defensively have fallen a little (has more to do with lack of depth and age).
- Draymond is still a stud, so is Klay, and so is Durant....
- Iggy is older and can't stay in front of folks as well as years past
- Curry will get destroyed guarding anyone on the Rockets
- Javale won't be playable and neither will Zaza
3. Have not looked as dominant as years past (this could be due to boredom, but we'll see)
- Yes, they have looked dominant in the playoffs, but against the Spurs (old, slow, lack of talent, and injured to boot), still lost a game. New Orleans is decent, but a lot of people made too much of their unexpected sweep of Portland. New Orleans more or less turned out to be a bad matchup for Portland as Dame was shut down and with a relatively weak and unathletic front court just couldn't contain AD in any way. Essentially, the Warriors looked good beating highly inferior competition, which is what they were supposed to do.
- Warriors lost a lot of games, many to injuries (Houston had 7 key guys miss 8 or more games, yet still won 65 games)
- Steph hasn't been nearly as good as years past
4. Matchups, depth, and style of play favor the Rockets
- Warriors have one elite one on one player and that is Kevin Durant (KD cannot be stopped but his job can be made very difficult)....
.......................this matters because the Rockets have an abundance of athletic versatile wings that can switch and close out on the Warriors' other-worldly shooters.
- If Durant and Steph are forced to ISO, things will get really bad really fast....Durant is not a play maker and though Steph can be, ISOing is really not GS's game.
- Klay is not a guy who can put the ball on the floor. He's an amazing off the ball player, but if he's forced to dribble, he won't be able to get by his man and be forced to put up contested shots or make a pass that will lead nowhere.
- The Warriors turn the ball over a lot...imagine if they are forced to ISO in crunch time without a true floor leader against the Rockets defense with Capella manning the paint, CP3 hounding the perimeter, and an army of versatile wings picking up any one in sight....
5. Rockets are the more complete team and if they stay healthy, don't have any apparent flaws (this is not a Warriors' flaw but a disadvantage nevertheless...)
- Fact, Rockets can play fast or slow, can win with offense or defense, can blow out a team in one quarter or grind it out and even when they fall behind, no lead is safe.
- Rockets have elite floor leadership for 48 minutes straight, the foot is on the pedal for the entirety of the game
- Warriors have the star power but the stalwarts have to sit and rest. Even if they decide to go full throttle, they might be forced to sit due to foul trouble....
-Rockets are deep and I mean deep (Elite PG play for 48 minutes, army of versatile athletic wing players, Elite paint protection, army of three point assassins who are forced to sit when they don't shoot...MVP point guard who is backed up by CP3, the Rockets are effing loaded....
CONCLUSION - Star power can overcome a lot of flaws and for all intents and purposes, the Warriors Star Power is probably the best of all time. That said, we have seen many times when teams that are top heavy but weak in every other direction get knocked out by more complete teams who may not have as much star power, often in spectacular fashion... does anyone remember the 2004 Lakers in the finals against the Pistons?
Prediction- Rockets win the series in 6.....
- Each of the four wins by the Rockets is an easy win (10+ point differential)
- Warriors barely squeeze out two hard fought wins
Finals - Rockets sweep or gentleman sweep either the Cavs or Celtics.

I believe Defense is the forgotten factor. Rockets and Warriors are both elite offensive teams, the Warriors are an elite defensive team. CP3 was handled by Curry easily when he was on Clippers. Harden is not a defensive player.

Not having home court advantage doesn't matter to a team like the Warriors. With the experience and quality they have, they don't care where they play, and their style of play doesn't change away from home either. If this was any other team, home court advantage would be huge for the Rockets, but in this case it just doesn't play a role.
