I had never heard this comment of his before and I'm happy that George was happy with his work. As far as I'm concerned, he Is the only singer I know of that sounded exactly like his recordings when singing live. Elvis was a close 2nd. Every great artist loses some of their vocal range as they age. It's funny because George's loss of vocal range would be what some singers wished they had in their best years!

George said the best vocal performance of his life was at Royal Albert Hall...all I know is that my favorite live performance of Praying For Time, is the one at that concert ! Wish I could have been there ! God Bless you, George ! ❤

He sung much better when younger if I'm honest , he lost his range from drugs / smoking

I have been to all his tours apart from the Wham! days, his vocals had lost range as the years went on but still amazing when I saw him at the Albert Hall on symphonica. His vocals were of the scale on his cover 2 cover tour in the 90s he really could make the hairs stand up. But all his concerts were never disappointing. Faith (my 1st)and his return on 25 live will always be special.

That's right, unfortunately. That's the only thing he did wrong as a vocalist. Every singer knows that smoking affects the vocal cords. I saw him on the Symphonica tour and he cleverly avoided a few high notes here and there, but he still had that unique tone that we've come to love.

I do love his Symphonica performances, but I also need to mention George's performance of Someone to Love with Queen - it too was outstanding!
