Sadly, I never heard his most of his interviews until after his death and did not know how open and honest he was along with being very intelligent and articulate. I just knew he had an amazing talent both musically and as a performer. It’s so sad thinking of all the music we will never hear. Fortunately, his beautiful voice lives on.

Sitting here sobbing away remember George and the massive impact he has had on my life. He was a beautiful man who brought so much joy to my life from the age of eight when I fell in love with him. I miss him every day and iv named my beautiful daughter Georgie after the biggest love of my life xxx

Smart man. So talented. Died too early, like alot of sensitive and highly creative people, because, on this 'beautiful' planet, it's very hard to meet someone whereby you never feel lonely ever again.

Thank you so much for uploading. His speaking voice is the only one I can listen to everyday and never get tired of it. So melodious and clear. He was articulate, intelligent, self-aware, humble, with a bracing sense of self-deprecating humor. The world is a much lesser place without him. I would kill for even one album of his discarded materials because they weren't "good enough". His worst material would still be superior to what passes for music today. So missed and loved. Always.

I totally agree. In 2016, when Bowie died, then Prince, I thought that ALMOST an entire installment of our musical heritage was erased since Whitney and Michael had already preceded them in death years before. With the exception of Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, and George Michael, all of the plausible recipients of Hall of Fame inductions, Lifetime Achievement Awards, and Legacy recognition, were dead. Up until that point, I thought, "As long as we still have George, we'll be o.k." and then, we weren't.....On December 25th, when George Michael died, I stripped the house of all Christmas decorations, wrote off 2016, and decided that our 80's legacy was gone in a way that is not true of any other decade (as if it's my decision...).
Sadly, there are some great compilations of unreleased material that you should look into purchasing. Most from Europe and intended for promotional packets, if any release was intended at all. Great covers, some really nice R&B grooves, and excellent voice leading. GOOD STUFF. Check it out.

Yeah, I really hate that he scrapped and I mean scrapped a ton of stuff that he didn't like. He might not have but we would have. Did you know he wrote & sang on Andy's album "Son of Albert". Alot of the songs maybe all had George's hand on them. He also wrote songs under the pseudonym R.Phillips. He wrote & sang "right round" he did a duet with David Cassidy called "the last kiss" there's plenty more. There's a page on the internet just google his pseudonyms & it should bring it up.

Self aware, really? As he was slowly killing himself with alcoholism, drugs and unsafe sex? Maybe he had a death wish after all the terrible losses he'd had. But being involved with Faudi Fawas was the deadliest chioce.

Heck wow I didn't even pay attention to the first part of this interview. He was sitting there saying what you see in concert is an act. I'll say how he told me... George Michael was a persona. He protected the real man underneath. Yog Panayiotou. He was flamboyant firey and gorgeous. Behind the scenes Yog was a sweetheart, he'd give a homeless man the shirt off his back. He used to get cash put it in envelopes and have Alex put them under the doors of the parish of old churches that were struggling.
He was such an angel and his ability to love was amazing.
His moma raised a good boy!!! Much love to Leslie & Melanie & Jack and Yioda. You raised a really really good man!!!

I just love his interviews before the L.A. incident. He wasn't on guard; he spoke about his music and provided his input on the world. After 1998, it was increasingly about his sexuality. It was so agonizing to watch and listen. I WISH that he would have kept it private because it was nobody's business. But Liberace, Freddie Mercury, and others kept it out of the media glare.
The media wanted to destroy him like poet Oscar Wilde, unfortunately, he gave them something to use. However, I genuinely hope that he is resting in peace.

George’s philosophy and ideas regarding the constant discussion of his sexuality are so intelligent. I love how aware he was of the reasoning behind people’s obsession surrounding that topic. I’m a new fan of George and I’ve been listening to his interviews very frequently, this is one of my favorites so far. He was such an eloquent and self-assured man. May he continue to Rest In Peace 🤎

"your voice almost broke there" - so funny 😊 So, this was not long before his mom died - poor man, so much in those few years. This interview would likely have been very different if people other than his family and friends had known about Anselmo at this time and his death - GM revealed so much on "Older" yet still media thought they needed more and more. And, why on earth did Chris Evans think GM looked like an asshole when he did "Star People" at the EMAs - listen to the lyrics - the whole set, the mirrored car, all of it reflected the lyrics of what the lyrics were about and it was a real kick ass performance about "star people" to whom he was actually singling this song to - which took guts int he first place. Also - Evans wasn't able to distinguish between GM the performer in that moment with the car, shades, etc and GM, the human being he was interviewing? So weird - Never did like Evans much though, I always thought he ask (asks) a lot of inane questions.
