18:13 you don't have to render a midi part to create a sampler track. All that is necessary is to drag the midi part to the sampler control window and cubase will handle the rendering in the background. :)
Yeah, that requires you to got to the add track menu, add the sampler, open it up and drag the midi in instead of audio. I do the rendering myself as I have bounce in place assigned to a keystroke, from there it's a right click and 'create sampler track' for me. Same story really, slightly different method... rendering manually is just quicker for me with my custom shortcuts. :)
A concurent of my favorite Daw ableton live ! Whoooo .. cool ! Me i work with my cubase 8.5 Production sometimes but the CPU of my Ryzen 5 2600 overcloked don't like that . Very , very good news for the Cubase producer . Enjoy my guys .
@@stma8258 Depends what you do with it TBH. If you're writing electronic music, might not be a huge update for you compared to something like Ableton. I'd have paid the $99 just for the export feature myself with the amount of time that saves me for sampling jobs and bouncing stems etc for clients.

@@MarulaMusic it's even simpler than that. Just drag the midi part to the sampler control tab in the lower zone on the track you're on.

I didn't test this on a mac but I believe the graphics handling for macos had been improved. You'd have to double check though.
