Man......... I keep learning things about Cubase, even after I've been using it for about 2 decades. The "channel comparison" around 6.55 minutes..............................NEVER knew :) Love it. Gonna save me some time now. And switching screens. Also the sidechain function for frequencies is amazing. No longer just ducking the whole bass, but parts of it. Genius. Thanks mate.

This is just about the best explanation / demonstration of how to use a dynamic EQ I've seen. Great work as always Mr Sigalas.

I will definitely upgrade to Cubase 11 for better dynamic EQ performance, instead of upgrading my hardware. I also prefer to not rely on third party plugins if I work on a second laptop.

I really wish they added the dynamic feature on the channel EQ and avoid having to insert a plugin just for that. On the other hand, Freq 2 has the potential of being an alternative to Fab Filter Pro-Q if they add all its other features

O cubase esta cada vez melhor, to a bastante tempo e francamente não sei o que mais falta eles colocarem lá de melhorias. Uma daw muito completa em relação ao resto. Essa versão 11 está perfeita. Parabéns aos desenvolvedores!

Outstanding video! I’d like to see Steiny create a sidechainable dynamic EQ that reacted to whichever band was hitting threshold in the side chain track. In other words not at fixed bands, but “flexing” bands. Perhaps you could set the top and bottom frequency range.

My tutor ! Thanks for the indeep Cubase lessons ! Commenting vocal recording, you can save a lot of time by setting a proper recording level, using a good mike through a fine preamp, adjusting a proper headphone level (with efx for feel but pure on the stem) and maybe talkback to the musician.Cubase Controll Room was made for that....And then the new Frequency 2 could do magic on your vocals. And the Delay machines, too.

I like the look of the new DynamicEQ and would be interested to compare it to (UAD)Sonnox Oxford Dynamic when I eventually upgrade to C11 - having the option of EIGHT (8!) SC-inputs (ie foreach band) is nuts ! (in a good way I think).
On another note, I notice the bands are running in [Stereo] can this new DynEQ also do MidSide ?

As much as i love Frequency2, it lacks one feature : options to show the EQ curve pre or post filter, separately or simultaneously, as for now the curve only shows the pre filters signal. To be clear : you should be able to select the curve pre EQ and/or post EQ, just like in the channel EQ.

Dom, Ted again. I've been watching a lot of your videos but haven't been able to participate live for awhile. (I'll save why when I catch you live in the future). I have 2 questions, one about hardware, one on technique. 1. A long time ago I was told that digital recording is best done at maximum volume before clipping. Then if the base was say competing with the drums, that I could move one track slightly ahead of the other on the time line, (millionths of a second), and that would clean that up. DO YOU find that useful as a tool, or is that "outdated"? 2. Is there any advantage to loading Cubase 11 to the NVMe M.2 drive instead of program files on the SSD hard drive? As always, thank you so muchfor answering my questions.

@@Dimitris81 You're wrong, it does have the dynamic option (I use it frequently). But frequency can actually do more: You can switch individual bands into linear phase mode and you have the multiple sidechain option, it has more bands, more filtertypes and you don't have to download and install it. Whenever you're doing a project with someone who also uses C11, you know that this won't be an issue.
