i really appreciate the pace of your videos, how you linger with many images, giving us the fullness of a sunset or the last ripples of a wave as it runs up onto the beach. so many TH-camrs seem to need to rush through images as if we viewers would get bored with anything on screen for more than a portion of a second. the calm and centeredness in you comes through in your videos and it's a real pleasure. thanks!!

I feel that it's out of balance and we as humanity and our planet would need less...less growth, less consumption, less information all the time and more space, more consciousness, more silence. For that, you don't have to live in nature. We could all start here and now by connecting again to the silence within ourselves by slowing down, taking breaks, consuming less and being more aware of what we're doing, thinking and bringing into this world."

Yes, I think balance is one of the key elements of life. But it isn't present in the cities, or maybe far, far hidden away.

Hi Leena, thanks for your wonderful video. Every year I go to Norge over the last 11 years, always via Hamburg towards the Colorline in Kiel. I agree, it is complete madness when you travel from any Scandinavian country into Germany again.. relax and enjoy 🇳🇴

Wow!! Can totally agree with you! Since I've gotten a little older and have had issues with anxiety and depression I've come to realize that being quiet and just observing the simple things in life are such a blessing. I can see God's tender care by just watching butterflies, birds, rabbits, flowers and all of his creation. 🥰
Life is too busy and way too much at times. Sometimes I think of becoming Amish because they enjoy a more simple way of life. You're so right, there needs to be balance.

Leena - it does not metter which place on earth you go to and film - your soul shows through it. This video proves that mainly the person who films - makes a video a great one - not only the place itself. Like somebody said long time ago - everything you experienced, music you listened to, the books you read, the people you met - so bacically who you are - comes in each video of the filmmaker. I really liked you reminded me of that :)
Even filming the buildings has become a real art and turned out not less enjoyble to watch than spectacular mountains of Norway.

Somehow didn't get a notification that the video had been released but finally got a chance to watch it tonight and another stunning work. Definitely have missed your videos over the last few weeks as the calm and beauty of nature that you are so adept at showing along with the stunning music was something I didn't know I needed tonight. Things in the world have gone so far off the rails in the last year or so that your videos truly remind me of what I am missing having not gone out into the mountains and trails over this last year. While I was able to take my daughter on a trip into the Rocky Mountains of Montana earlier in the spring it was not enough and I need to really work on taking more time to just get out. Just one of several thoughts that your videos inspire in me as I get older and need to take a hard look at where I am and where I need to be both mentally and physically. Just as a change is getting ready to come for you two in the form of the move and new surroundings, I feel a needed change in my life as well.
You never knew you had become a TH-cam therapist with your videos, did you! Lol! And with that I am off to your store again...

It's so much easier to be a tourist in a city, because you have absolutely no obligations and responsibility to any of it, and that's when you realize after all this time what does affect everybody who have lives in a city. It's mostly expectations to and from others. When you come back as a tourist, any kind of expectation will feel tiny because you have no obligation to any of it.
Personally I'm very much a person who will never live in a city again, BUT I can easily visit it from time to time.

Leena, as I sat and watched this video I was drawn into the warmth and peace that comes from your voice sharing words that tell us your innermost thoughts. I'm there with you as it regards the world needing to dial it back a bit and take time to enjoy what we have no matter how simple or meager it may be. I'm so glad I found your channel. Your camera work is amazing and the music you choose works so well with the images you are shooting. I loved it when your dog kind of looked away from you when you were taking him to stay while you were traveling. It was like the dog was saying, I know where you are taking me and I'm already sad. Oh yes, we all need definitively slowing down and more silence. Always more and more and more of everything will crash our world at some point. I could well imagine a life off grid, completely independent from other people. But unfortunately I am not able to supply for myself completely on my own. And I probably wouldn't survive the long hard winters. So I must go on living in this society. Breaking out into nature every now and then helps a lot. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. My girl and I live in Brisbane Australia, we had a few days away in the countryside and no WiFi were we stayed.
Peace and quiet birds,starry skies beautiful sunset,when we return home to the city we see a 35 kilometre traffic jam and stress etc...We will also "find our silence "next year...All the best to you both.

Magical video. It started with your description of the first autumn weather in Norway. It was as if I could smell the leaves and moisture of the trees around you. I was also very surprised by the beauty of northern Germany. I knew the name "Lüneburg"(erheide), but I didn't make the connection with the city of Lüneburg; what a beauty!
My compliments to your father; what a gorgious boat he has! The warm colour of the wood is just startling! But you know, I don't like to say it, but I must be honest; I will miss your home in Norway; I get used to that nice house, the green fields around hit and at the horizon, the magnificent features of the high mountains! I have been a sailor all my life thanks to my father who was in the US Navy and got us all enjoying the lakes and oceans under sail..I met my wife on a Schooner sailing on the Penobscof Bay in Maine US.. I loved your fathers wooden work of art which must be a super sight to see sailing along under its angel wings made of canvas.. 🌞

I love this. I had the privledge of visiting Germany 7 years ago and 4 1/2 years ago to see our 2 grandsons be born. We loved it . My daughter loved living there while her husband was stationed there in The U.S. Air Force . They lived out in the country side. Very beautiful. So Hello from California.

I am new here and I just found your channel yesterday. I live in southern California USA and sometimes the crowding of everything here becomes very overwhelming. We hope to one day also live out away from the city but at the current moment it is not possible for us. Your videos are a nice glimpse of what I hope to one day have with my family.
