    Thanks for this video. I've got one on order and should be with me in a few weeks. When I was looking to make my decision I looked everywhere to get a decent user review like this but there was nothing decent available. I finally managed to get an extended 3 day test drive and your review totally matches my findings. I ready so many reviews saying it was underpowered and slow but didn't find it like that at all. Plenty of get up and go when you needed it for overtaking but very smooth and refined when driven as a cruiser. Great real world review. thanks for sharing.

    There's no point in flooring the throttle all that happens is the engine revs rise, wasting fuel, and not much acceleration. Just get the power meter into the low area of the power zone and let the transmission do the rest. The best I have achieved is 80.1 mpg but there were a lot of steep descents. I think I'm probably averaging around 55mpg with my 2 litre on urban use. It's a delight to drive.

      @@GetUrOwnHandle Got mine and loving it to be honest. Had it for 1 week so far, the technology is amazing although the proactive cruise control - The radar especially takes a bit of getting used to but one you learn how to handle it properly is really cool. I have topped 60 MPG so far but of course this varies, however never fallen lower than 50 so far so quite pleased. Very comfy to drive and very solid on bends to, great car.
      This is my actual car - Love the colour!

  • @JohnFox-X333XXX
    @JohnFox-X333XXX ปีที่แล้ว +2

    You said that B mode you recover more charge to the battery, that is incorrect. It should only be used when descending a steep hill as it performs the same function as if you’ve changed down in a manual gearbox. The purpose of B mode is to throw energy away by spinning the engine. The B does not stand for Battery, it stands for Brake!

    • @RealWorldCarReviews
      @RealWorldCarReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s a stronger regen function. It doesn’t spin the engine when in EV mode

    • @allardvanderknaap2017
      @allardvanderknaap2017 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Correct, no regen in B to prevent the battery from overcharging

    Collecting 70 plate brand new Orange Edition on 22nd Jan..Good looking car imo. Only wish it had a twin power turbo 3 litre petrol and bigger battery pack. A car in this day and age needs at least 350bhp at least.

      Haha. I guess you’re being sarcastic towards modern muscle car trends?

    • @borinvlogs
      @borinvlogs 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RealWorldCarReviews Not really. So many new hot hatches nowadays put out around 350 to 450 bhp with their 2 litre turbocharged engines. CHR especially in this Orange Edition seems all show and no go. Luckily, it will be my partner's car (bought/paid together) and she will love it. :)

    • @RealWorldCarReviews

      Lexus RX hybrid has 300+ bhp. Had one, it just got stolen 2 weeks ago. They have gone up in price by about £5 -7k since I bought mine early this year as a used car.. there fore I’m here looking at this review.. the RX F Sport hybrid is rapid, off the mark it can surprise many other drivers, it’s a big machine but off the line it is fast.. you should look at one.

  • @Richard1976
    @Richard1976 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Isnt b mode when you go down a mountain or something and the car will brake more on the engine?

    • @RealWorldCarReviews
      @RealWorldCarReviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could use it for that as well, but it’s mainly a stronger regen for the batteries.

      I’ve not tested the Puma. The only thing I’d really say is that the last time I was in a Ford dealership, I didn’t like how hard the seats were in any of the cars. The only acceptable on was the Mondeo, to me. But other people may not mind so much

      Revs up far less when accelerating & gives you a massive upgrade of 184hp! (vs 114hp). Also has even better suspension, you barely feel any bumps in the road and they've even improved road noise with better sound proofing in the cabin.
