- Hi! I’m a solo female traveler from Manila, Philippines. Solo traveled in Madrid first week of November 2022. Stayed for three nights and two days. My main destination is Southern Spain but decided to check out Madrid.
Places to visit:
Plaza Mayor
Mercado de San Miguel
Palacio Real
Templo de Debod
Rooftop at Hotel Riu
Chocolateria de San Gines for some churros
Calle Serrano for Luxury shopping
Museo Nacional del Prado
Puerta del Sol for shopping (They have Real Madrid shops here)
La Mejor Torta de Chocolate del Mundo cafe for the best chocolate cake in the world
I guess two whole days are enough but if you want to visit Segovia for a day trip from Madrid, make it three or four days.

Next time check La Mallorquina, very close to your hotel, in Puerta del Sol. Great Coffee, croissants are delucious and many pastries to choose from. Did you visit El Corte Inglés? Great department store, it even has a supermarket on the basement.
I did check out mallorquina but i decided to have churros somewhere instead. Hehe. I also went shopping in el corte ingles but i didnt see the supermarket. Thanks for the recommendation. I wish i could go back.

I was kind of bummed you didn't go to Retiro Park, my favorite park in the world, but I really enjoyed your video. Very nicely done. Good editing. The timing between scenes and places is perfect as well.
I did go inside but just near the entrance but my feet were so tired already. Wanted to see the crystal palace but my feet couldnt really anymore.

Is it safe to travel alone?
Yes definitely! I felt totally safe but ofcourse you still have to be vigilant.
Is it safe to travel solo at night there?
It seems pretty safe though i didnt really stay too late since i get tired easily. My latest would be around 9:30.
