I purchased a 1970 206 in 1985. I use it in my business and family getaways or buddy golf getaways. I live in the flat Midwest so I don’t care how high she flies, even the new turbo can’t get over a storm, it’s pretty fast, at almost 170 mph, great IFR plane even with the old instruments . Beats my friends 182 in most categories. If you normally fly 5000 to 8000. Ft older models are great. Very stable airplane

I have great respect for the Cessna 206. One trip (3CK-ICT) I took out the 2 rear seats and the right middle seat. At 3CK we stuffed in a full-size electric range. Add full fuel, two adults, one young child, baggage, and we went non-stop to ICT. My weight and balance calculation was perhaps a little off because during the last hour or so of the flight I ran out of nose down trim. Holding a little forward pressure was no problem and the landing was just fine. Good video!

I think “Stationair” is a take on “Stationwagon”

The name Stationair is perfect! It's not about being stationary in air as the announcer states. He is obviously too young to remember what a Stationwagon was. The station wagon was a long car before the SUV's were invented. You could take the entire family on long trips in a station wagon. Perfect name for this airplane.

It's a "Stationwagon" that flies through the "air". Not the most clever name but it works well.

The 182 and the Piper Archer are both very valuable in today’s market especially the prices are higher than the what people are looking to not to spend

There are still going strong in the market prices and the older ones as it started with the Cessna 205 and the one I flew with seats taken out for cargo flights and transportation to and from major airports to take pilots on crew changes was great

Let's face reality, short of the corvalis (aka TTX, Originally a lance columbia, tweaked and rebuilt in Wichita) cessna generally never wins in the performance or looks category (tens quietly growling at the far end of the flight line). They have it where it counts. They are simple, utilitarian, unbelievably easy to work with (aircraft maintainer myself), and above all incredibly forgiving to pilots. Its easy to forget just how much bigger and better muscled they are compared to a skyhawk or skylane until you fly one. Somehow at the stick they literally feel like an overgrown skyhawk. K.I.S.S.

I’d take a Cherokee Six over the Stationair as a family aeroplane any day.

original six had an awesome useful load (1000 lbs)... but later versions ate into that with instruments, air conditioning, interior, etc...

After ditching in the water I wonder how to open the back door with the flaps down.

This model crashed in the Amazon in May 2023. Four children survived uninjured.

What's all that "hardware" on the bottom of the fuselage and between the wheels?

The 206 is a hoss but you want to own ? Lets not look at the 200K pric for a used one but then there is the annual at about20K or more then it's time for overhaul , you got a big 6 cyl. motor with a turbo , you could be lookin at maybe 30 to 60 K . Now can you park it at a KOA camp ground , I don't think so and the list goes on . One more thing , you better have deep pockets or a rich daddy . Good plane just the same .

206 Price is a joke with Neanderthal rivet technology. Compair 6.2 is a thousand times better airplane and “half the price’.

interesting how their site only has CGI style aircrafts displayed. Are they even on the market yet with proven track record, or is this a start up with hopes to have a future?
