Ah the F-5F. I bet it takes forever to do a 360 turn with all the added bits. Nice walkaround.

They didn’t add a cockpit and it wasn’t made from two F-5Ns. It’s a Frankentiger because it has the nose of a stricken F-5F, the wing of a different F-5F, and the fuselage of a F-5E.

A lot of ex Swiss airforce F-5 E/F operate now in the US as aggressor dog fight training. Maybe this are ones 🙂

Is this a standard F-5F length or longer? I noticed it didn’t have a tail ballast underneath

They removed the gun from the nose so it doesn’t need as much weight aft to maintain CG.

why is call franken if it is the F variant is an evolution From the B, and both of them were produced from the begin as two seaters?

Because this specific F-5F was built out of two F-5Ns, thus a Frankenstein creation.
