VFC-13 "Saints" F-5 Tiger IIs take off and landing at NAS Fallon

In 2019 we visited NAS Fallon and captured take offs and landing approaches of the F-5 Tiger IIs. The F-5s are a part of squadron VFC-13 "Saints". The black two seat F-5 replicates the famous Mig-28 from the movie "Top Gun".

Northrop knows how to design an easy to maintain and lw cost fighter and a fighter trainer. The F-5E with Swiss markings flying through the snow covered Alps being the most beautiful of all. Are the VFC-13 F-5s part of the re-purchased F-5s (for Top Gun) coproduced in Switzerland by F+W. To be absoluly accurate ..a top North American Aviation F-86 design engineer who had transferred to Northrop in the early 1950s had considerable influence in the look of the F-5 and T-38.

I believe that engineer would be Edgar Schmued, same guy who also designed the P-51 for North American

F-5 Tigers bought from Switzerland to use as "reds" for Top Gun training? better buy the real Mig-29 that are scattered by some countries friendly to the Russians and thus do more realistic training.
