Picture Frame Quilt Block: 12.5 Inches

Hello from the sewing room!
I’m making the Picture Frame Quilt Block.
This block will measure 12.5 inches square when completed and finish in your quilt or other project at 12 inches square.
Choose one focus fabric and two coordinating fabrics.
This block is comprised of one large square, eight rectangles, and four half-square triangles.
I show you how to construct the half-square triangle patches and then how to lay out all the patches to create the block.
I then show you step by step how to sew with a scant quarter-inch seam allowance, press toward the dark, and assemble the block.
If you have a larger print fabric you hate to cut up, consider constructing this block to make a beautiful quilt or wall hanging.
