Strip Set Tutorial: Quilt Piecing Tips

Hi!
I’m back in the sewing room today. I’m making width of fabric (wof) strip sets.
I need strip sets for some table toppers that I’m making for Halloween, so I thought I’d do a stand alone tutorial on cutting and assembling the strip sets.
These long strip sets have a tendency to bow and get easily distorted. I show you a few techniques to keep your strips and the strip sets nice and straight.
First I show you how to find the straight of grain in your fabric. This is an important step in keeping the strips straight. I then show you how to starch and press the fabric and then cut the strips.
I then show you how to sew the strips together with a scant quarter inch seam allowance. I then show you how to carefully press the strip set after each strip is added.
