It’s as you say, Fortnite’s identity is evolving. It was originally save the world, then it became BR, it has updated, tweaked, and changed itself to remain relevant. I’m not fond of all the changes, but I can appreciate that it changes.
In my opinion Fortnite is losing it’s identity because it is doing too much at once instead of doing one thing at a time and the live events are a key part of Fortnite but without focusing on what got us interested in the game what is left?
in one way, ya i believe they are still losing its identity, but i do believe there going on the right track. i mean we just got the best fortnitemares in 2 years. like i wasn't expecting them to go this hard for a seasonal event sense they have been straight up neglecting it. im lagit happy that there going this hard. even though i don't like the fact that there doing it for the 1st collab season sence chapter 2, i'm still not mad with what we got
@@Gravy187team rumble isn't even worth bringing up. It's basically just be with br spawn mechanic, while rocket racing is a full fledged new mode. Two aren't comparable at all.
Another thing is that probably more than 90% of people who play the new gamemodes are regular br players, the metaverse doesn’t really seem to be inviting new players to join, Also if a new player joins , They would get way too overwhelmed, and yeah i understand that it’s the same for roblox but the reason you play roblox is because you KNOW that it’s a game of games, meanwhile if you heard of fortnite you will just think of battle royale and then get so confused
The only semi-complaint I have with fortnite is the lack of replayability the other modes have compared to battle royale. If you're going to pull funding away from the live events, at least make the game modes a bit more expansive than what they are like right now.

I really, really, REALLY hope that epic have decided to wise up and go back to old fortnite in chapter 6. If that chapter isn't solely focused on battle royale, then the game will inevitably die.

Well from what I heard from the news about Disney it sounds like to me that the skins that Disney has proposed to implement that has no compatibility for br feels like it's going to be like another form of style form like the cars from rocket racing, the bean skins for the fall guys islands, and the Lego skins for the Lego mode.
I can't say that the story that is now in Fortnite is good. Since Hope just appeared out of nowhere and epic just want to replace our beloved Jones. At the same time, we were introduced to the seven and the imagined order gradually, and now it's just a girl who came out of nowhere to save us... It's sad 😢
