This is how me and my ror duo play the game. Constantly sharing items and communicating bc it means we can actually complete runs and both get powerful even if at a slower rate
Seeing people share items instead of my friends who pick captain and loader to get loot before everyone else is weird

Is it a Captain thing to be a loot goblin? I had my worst multiplayer with viewer experience recently where within 3 min, a captain already took 12 items while I had zero items and the other two players had about 3. Even took the harvester scyth while I was playing bandit. I exited that game and turned on artifact of death
Yeah, I honestly never play multiplayer again on thia game because of somebody who did exactly that, he'd get angry if I "took an item from him" so I just waited at the TP for 10 minutes for him to full clear, then Iactivated thw teleporter and got insulted, then when they died (so I got more items) they started getting mad at me and telling me to reset the run
I don't think its nessecary to say we were friends for long after that
I love how you both speak in the same deadpan monotone voice. Not hating or anything, I actually really enjoy that.

That video was great! It was awesome to see such a high level of teamwork with 2 e8 veterans. When I do multiplayer with friends, they hoard everything and try to trade items with each other lol. It becomes a free market instead of a team

if this is too much effort or if its just me being a bit off, then fair enough ill just have to tweak my settings for future co-op runs, but it would be appreciated to have some text on screen for when both of you are having a back and forth or talking at the same time, can be a bit hard to understand what is being discussed at times. but otherwise, i really appreciated the editing on this video, fun to see 2 E8 pros working together!

Kinda surprised you recycled the first cell you found, seems like it would drastically increase the usefulness of the recycler
just ragequit a super toxic coop match with some friends and saw this immediately and had to see how friends actually act together.
This is how a friend of mine and I play, and I've been steadily encouraging other friends of mine who also play to adopt this mentality for MP, since most of them are just "vacuum up everything in sight". xD Hell, I even go entire stages w/o grabbing items for myself if they die and fall behind in items. Unless you're Woolie its hard for a single person to carry an MP Lobby. xD

May be a dumb question but, what do they mean with one player with all the scraps, how does it mess up the bazaar trades?
If I have 2 green scrap and my friend has 3 how are we supposed to use the cauldron that needs 5 scrap? Easy to put it on one person so we can actually use the cauldron

Any reason you didnt take void band here? You didn't have any bands it would corrupt, and the suction effect is pretty decent on mithrix.

I'm genuinely confused as to why people don't like hunter's harpoon. It's one of my favorite greens for sure
the most maximum co-op would be just installing that one artifact from zet artifacts that lets you drop items. just pick up stuff you call out if someone else needs, then just deliver and remix your builds at the TP or something.
my strategy is to simply be such a god gamer that I can give ¾ of the items I find to my teammate. Everyone wins :)
I think risk of rain really should revamp co-op, it's way too easy for someone to be left behind and never catch up

@@godlyvex5543 exactly, most games have terrible co op, ror2 actually rewards participants when they work together
@@lyrebird5982 You don't seem to understand that while in theory it sounds better, in practice it just isn't as fun. It's a slog for the strong people having to just sit near the slow and weak person protecting them, and it feels bad for the weak player not being able to do anything. Co-op is best when the whole team is mostly on the same power level and can all contribute. I dislike valorant, but would you really say that it's a bad co-op game because everyone on the team can contribute to a win?
@@godlyvex5543 I think it's more the case that most co-op games give the deadwieght players dopamine, i wouldn't say that is very good cooperation.
What I like about ror2 is that it actually forces bad players to get better if they want to have fun with others; instead of them finding the need to improve, if everyone is competent and works cooperatively.
That being said;
I would like it if the game slightly delayed the picking up of items so that you can think before taking it for yourself, like mags,rings or bandolier being better for other characters.

I usually always get Refightilization on top of that as well, gives you an incentive to revive quickly otherwise your teammate can start to bully you.

Are you mad? Its literally 1 free item per stage basically, and should you get 5 of them total, then its a free red per bazaar visit.
Usefulness drops off when you don't loop, which Race rarely does.
you're holding normal people to unreal standards, normal co op is when i have one row of items with no more than 2 per item and my friend has 2 and a half rows with at least 4 duplicates of every item he has
that's not unreal standards, your friend just needs to think before taking every item they see lmao
