    I like to avoid having a tee inserted under my fingernail when reaching into my bag so I use a plastic container, like the ones replacement spikes come in, to hold tees, small sharpie, ball markers and divot repair tool. Small and easily accessed. A plastic sandwich bag for the sunscreen in case it pops open, same for bandaids.

    I prefer my putter on top of or with my graphite shafted clubs, and I would as much as possible arrange individual irons and wedges where the leading edges touch the back of the next club instead of the clubface so the clubface doesn’t get scratched or damaged.

    Flask, back up flask, cigar holder, skeeter spray.

    If you use a slightly larger (fake or real) climbing carabiner clip for your towel, you can connect it higher up, over the built-in lift handle on the bag, so that the end of the towel stays off the ground when the bag legs open - it also allows you to quickly slide the towel to the left side of the bag after you hit to clean the clubface - and then slide back, over to the right, so it is out of the way when carrying the bag.

    “Because there is nothing worse than constantly having tees in your pocket when you’re not playing golf”. Totally agree. Worst thing ever! I can’t think of anything worse than getting home and finding tees in my pocket. 😂

    My setup is nearly the same but with the putter up top with the woods and a big towel draped over the clubs instead of a clip on.

    This is pretty much like my setup. I also carry an extra batteri for the range finder and a small med kit. I carry a extra batteri after a tip from your videos and one week later in a comp it came to use 😄👍

    That tiny amount of stuff is all Neil has in the bag? I've got 30+ years of "I'll need this" sometime. That's why my carry/stand bag is 30 lbs.

    • @petrafied99
      @petrafied99 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I had never heard that word either (U.S.). But I’m guessing… A gilet (/dʒɪˈleɪ/) or body warmer is a sleeveless jacket resembling a waistcoat…? Aka, a vest. He also said “your waterproofs” which to my ears sounded like nouning an adjective.

    Wow, nice to see that the assumption is that all bags are the same. Where does the 3-4 beers go that have to be hid since the course does not allow outside drink? As well as the Gatorade that I mixed at home and have in 2 bottles hidden. As well as my flask of Cognac and flask of Bourbon?? Food; I carry Quaker bars and sunflower seeds. My cigar clip and cigar case with a container to keep my matches and lighter dry. Oh yeah, I play in the Midwest where weather changes in a moment…umbrella, gortex jacket and maybe pants. Bag cover and garbage bag for when the bag cover blows away. Extra pair of socks to change at the turn. Two towels, one for me, one for the clubs. 2 extra gloves. Add in a few more balls and a retriever since I loose about 3-4 per round. A chipper…since I don’t play in sanctioned events, illegal clubs are fine, so…it’s in the bag. As well as a club that my brother-in-law gave me that I don’t use, but since I am trying to avoid my wife’s family from asking and a scandal to ensue as to why I got rid of it…it’s in the bag. Lastly, , a portable battery/charger for my phone and Bluetooth speaker that allows me to listen to music and drown out my previously discussed idiot brother-in-law. All tolled, starts around 31 lbs and goes down as I drink the beer and eat the food. And share stuff with idiot brother-in-law since he’ forgotten balls, gloves, drinks, etc. End of day…much lighter.

    Pretty much the same as my bag setup, though I also carry sunscreen (just in case it stops raining in Manchester and the sun actually comes out), and for emergencies I have antihistamine tablets (in case of wasp or Bee stings) and my GTN spray (just in case I have an angina attack or worse)

    If riding in a golf cart or using a push cart, would you change the orientation of your clubs? For me, my ‘graphite’ shafted clubs would go on the side of the bag stand legs so they are on the side closest to the golf cart making it easier to access my shorter clubs.

    The real question is how to setup a carry/stand bag when it goes into a cart 95% of the time. (don't hate, carts are standard here in south Florida lol). Even with TM's hybrid bag, driver and long irons are up front it drives me nuts

      @@lawbinson never had success with them. Love the storage, love the 14 way, although my stand is also 14 way... But they aren't stable. I've have my clubs take some big blows because the cart bag tipped over. It was a Callaway bag so it wasn't some cheap knockoff.

    • @lawbinson

    This is by far the most important. Like they say, clean bag = clean head
    I would recommend keeping wipes, bandages, tape, extra pencils, and scorecards in your bag. Some snacks would be nice, too.
