@@arcticmonkey3 What was Johnny's number dude? When someone passes away, and you hear things along the lines of "they're watching down on us from above" or "you may have lost one that you love, but you have gained an angel up above"... What are they referring to with the word "above"?
All things work together for the good of all who believe in The Lord Jesus Christ. God has a plan for this. Somthing everyone should think about before it is to late.
I don’t know how the Gaudreau family can do this - to share their grief in front of thousands of strangers like this would be beyond difficult. My condolences to all of Johnny and Matthew’s family and friends. ❤
As a Flames fan will never forget the Gaudreaus and will forever be tied to Columbus through this also a fan of the Blue Jackets. As a Calgarian the whole NHL fan base had been incredible. Love what they are doing for the family forever #13, #21
It really doesn't matter what team you cher for you have to be a human to feel how much of a tragedy this was and he will forever be remembered has one of thw greatest hockey players in this century and this is coming from a Oilers fan. Thank you Johnny for all the great memories of watching you play Rest In Peace Johnny and Mathew Gaudreau and fly high 🕊️
You'll be missed, Johnny Hockey. I'm glad I got to marvel at your skill while you were here. No doubt you left a great legacy with your brother, Matthew. Rest in peace, Matthew and Johnny.
Just last night I was playing be pro in NHL 19. My team was playing the flames and Johnny scored in overtime. I know it’s just a virtual version but I was just happy to see the guy play again. I’m not a flames fan, hell I’m a fan of a rival team. But that obviously will never matter. There’s so much grief in losing two great players and two great people. Rest in piece Johnny and Matthew❤️❤️❤️
As a Canucks fan loved watching Johnny on the ice skillfull player love to see both cities giving him a tribute well deserved Monahan getting teary sucks to see you can tell he misses his brother ❤Rip Johnny and Matthew
As a Canucks fan who grew up in Calgary, I got to see first hand how much Johnny meant to this city. Johnny brought joy into the city, and gave pride back to the Flames uniform after the team had fallen into mediocrity. I hated playing Gaudreau because he lit up my Canucks every time, but I loved him as a player. He was absolutely electric and a treat to watch. Rest in Peace Johnny and Matthew. Both gone far far too soon.
Normally I'd be playfully chirping at you cause of the rivalry, but damn dude I just respect you too much 🫶🏻 team doesn't matter when things get tough- we're all hockey fans. Love ya bud
Kings fan here cried the whole time. Hated playing against him Bebe made our d look so bad. Rip Matthew and Johnny two brothers just riding bikes as they would if as kids.
Wanted to state and say whether both win or lose. Last night's game was not about the win nor lose. Its all the collaboration to come together as one to suppoort the Gaudreau family as one. Both teams have made it all worth last night to come together to carry his legacy on. Lest we never forget "Johnny Hockey" brought the hockey community together! Thank you Guy and Jane Gaudreau for having such a son that everybody loved! As a hockey community, wanted to say a blessing "Wish love and healing from now and forever, we carry such a spirit of Johnny Gaudreau's legacy on" Thank you and mozt out-pouring of condolenses. We love your family! ❤
What a strong family Johnny and Matthews family are. Tears 😢the whole time. Lanny's hug to Meredith was touching along with the kiss Noa got on the cheek at the end. Brothers together forever ❤🙏😇RIP
Johnny was our superstar for many years in CGY me and my dad have watch so many games over the years and attended few with him on the team it’s just horrible we will always love and miss gaudreau! Forever a flame 🔥
I'm not bawling like a baby, you're bawling like a baby. I don't know how Monahan kept it together for so long out there. Touching ceremony from Calgary and the Sea of Red.
This is why hockey is the best sport there is. Doesn't matter who you play for, or where you're from. Everyones apart of the family in the hockey community. Rest in peace Gaudreau brothers.
I just started breaking down in tears. What a horrible death and Johnny and your Brother, R.I.P as a young hockey player, I have just changed my number to 13. ❤❤❤😢😢😢
If they did a tribute at EVERY home game, I'd say it was warranted, and I'd watch every one of 'em (from an Avs fan). I hope and pray they are all reunited when their time on earth is done.
What happened this summer I’ll never understand. Every Tribute that I’ve watched, all the photos I’ve seen have bought tears to my eyes. Johnny and Matthew will never be forgotten, and my deepest condolences are to their immediate family and extended family, as well as friends, loved ones, the 5th Line, and the C of Red, and all the other loyal fanbases and hockey fans all around affected by this tragedy
Balling as 41 year man. Johnny and Matthew were such a great guys. Matthew was at a camp my nephews teammate was at the week camp Matthew put on right before his passing. He was helping young kids become better men. True characters of the sport. Being an American it hits especially hard because I loved he played college hockey and won the honey baker and then made it as a star. It was a small guy that made bigger men look stupid. He was such a smooth stick handler and he was in my opinion a younger Patrick Kane. Who will be in hof like Johnny would of. It hit all of us hard especially hockey fans. As a hockey fan I bleed hockey and losing one of the great players and great men. I hope his family gets through it the best they can and know there’s million of fans that loved watch a kid with a huge smile play a game he loved so much. His mom has the same face when she smiles that’s 😢
A senseless tragedy that was completely preventable. There is no excuse for drunk driving. Two young children and a sister that was supposed to be having one of the best days of her life.
Seeing Monahan just losing it at the puck drop was hard to watch. Beautiful job by all involved. RIP Johnny and Matt.
That made me sick. What a strong man to be able to fight through that. What a tragedy
I was definitely cutting some onions when that happened...
Completely agree. I was having a hard time watching that myself. 😢
"for our 13th game of the season," chills, they're skating together up there
And it’s their 13th win of the season.
Up where ?

Life isn’t fair dude.

Agreed. But let’s all use it as a reminder not to drink and drive. I know I have done it and haven’t ever thought twice. But never again.
Killa the guy who didn’t is very unlikely to be hockey fan and not everyone is😢
It happened because the way we have designed our cities has made it mut unsafe for anyone not inside a car.
Oilers fan here crying my eyes out. We all love Johnny what a beautiful tribute.
I agree 👍🏻😢
agreed.
Can't hold my tears...
Seperated by fanbses... united when tragedy... the whole hockey world cares for one another💯
Never thought I’d cry listening to Johnny B Goode, but here we are. How that family kept it together is beyond me - the definition of grace.
The look on Monahan just showed how close he and Johnny were.
I was so pumped to watch those two together again too 😢
I didn't think I'd be tearing up in the work bathroom at 7am, but here we are.
Beautiful tribute all around.
