- We harvest soybeans on another farm, and we start to have doubts about the current accuracy of the yield monitor.

CURRENT SCHEDULE
Expect a new video every Sunday and Wednesday at 11AM Central!
How Farms Work by Ryan Kuster is a TH-cam channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin. Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like. These videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us and we look to educate the world on many essential agriculture topics.
How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.

So many different ways to use pomegranates. I know your family loves to taste test all your new recipes. Your videos bring peace and happiness to my heart and your dog makes me laugh all the time. Thank you for sharing yourself and your family with us. You give us much more than we could ever give you. And it's an honor to have you visit our channel, we can discuss more about our experiences in harvesting and building farms.
Music selection with the great videos is outstanding!!!👍
Certainly more picturesque countryside than Larson farms. 😊
You should definitely trade the 2 grain carts off for a 1100-1300 bushel cart. Then more grain storage on the farm.
Do they have a tractor big enough ? Most farms in my area have 350 or bigger tractors on grain carts.
@@ollie-lk5dx You can go back and look for exact size. But they had one on demo from Unverferth a couple years ago. in that size.
@@ollie-lk5dx they have ran a 1300 on there 8235 r I believe
Probably need at least 300hp to pull a cart that big. Depending on hills, might need closer to 400hp.
Crazy to think that the video you got the Brent grain cart was one of the first videos on your channel I watched. I’ve loved seeing the progress on the farm! Another great video Ryan!
Another good video Ryan, excellent drone footage as usual!!!!
If your still worried about weight on the truck, hauling out of the fields. There are some scales that you can put on your semi. AppWeight and Bit air scale. Sensors that splice into your air lines on the tractor and trailer. Down load the app on you phone. Calibration. Good to go. Gets you very close to actual scale weight at the elevator. Works for me, should work for you.
Enjoy the video Ryan .
Mighty job Everybody, good to see Ye making progress , hope the weather is staying agreeable👌👍🙏🙂
Thanks Ryan! It appears as though y'all are gettin' your money's worth out of the 79.
When you get a bigger grain cart you should definitely put the 4640 on the baler and the 8235R on the cart!! Then the 7920 could be on that big wagon!! It would make more sense for a two drive tractor on the baler for bailing corn stalks
Really enjoy your videos
Thanks for the video stay safe during harvest Ryan
awsome video ryan thumbs up and shared
Great Video Ryan, Good to see the beans are going ok, thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Great stuff as always.
I remember when you got your brent grain cart, that was a big step up back then👍😉 with big red and the 9770 you really improved your operation even further😃👍
Thanks for the great video again👍👍
Looks like decent yields even thru the drought!
we run a a brent 572 on a 4640 and a brent 674 on a 8400 the 572 is kinda small to keep up ip with the s660
Thx for sharing
Rip the edges of your feilds, get under the hard pan and break the hard pan up..Compaction is the limiter…Have tree lines give those a round of ripping aswell…Seems like those that break it up always do see a posative response, dont be shy with calcitic lime, it will aid with drought tolarance
@@ghammond3132... Breaking the compaction layer can improve drought performance in 2 ways, it allows water into the subsoil and also allows the plants to send roots deeper to access the moisture.
Calcium input is calcitic limestome, one of the attributes to calcium in high enough rate is the plant can tolorate dry backs, aka drought tolarance…Victor Teijan’s one of the god fathers of modern agronnomy was a huge propanant of 2ton a acre of lime….You can look into Ben Franklin and his use of gypsum…..Plenty of well documented cases calcium does all this and more lmfao!

The key to a new grain cart is getting one with a digital readout of weight. Especially if you have issues with the calibration on the combine!
I have seen on some other farm video's. It will also flash if loaded unevenly. Great for the combine operator. I just watched the sales video nice cart, it has weights but in the cab with accesory for purchase of course.
Just wondering why you are going to town with the beans and not storing them?
May you and your family have a bountiful harvest. Nice video.
Hey Ryan this was a great video.
Great video Ryan and Hannah and please take care of Miss Hannah’s back when she is cranking on the trailer doors 👍
Hey Ryan!!
Hey Doc!
Hey Ryan love the video & your wife always pitching in to help. Your drone shots are amazing what a beautiful shot & overview. Way to go, keep them coming.👍👍💕💕👏🚡
Good video
Good content! 👍
a right angle driller with a low gear should have enough power to open you semi truck grain trailer
You should use the 7920 on grain cart
Hey, you know you could use a heavy driver to open and close bin doors? I use them to put tie downs in which is way more torque and you won't kill your shoulder
Good stuff
Lookin good
hey Ryan I like to let you know I am starting to like John Deere I don't know why but there's something I like about them
WOW, what a decision. The little bit that I know about your setup it's not quite as simple as trading in the two carts. You almost need to keep at least one of them for the over-the-road hauling you do filling the bins.
Sheesh, the combine was flying in like a F16 jet 😂
Get a J&M 850 your 82 will run it just fine
A Killbros grain cart would be nice to see on the farm or maybe a brent
Have you guys thought about upgrading to a electric dump bottom trailer
When is Kuhn gonna send you a manure spreader to demo? Lol
Ryan would you do Tracks or Tires on a new bigger cart if you got one?
Hey Ryan, My friend please don't let Miss Hannah get hurt cranking on that trailer doors. If their is someone there to open them for you let them. I think the monitor needs checked again. What is the size of grain cart that was demoed last that filled the trailer al at one dump didn't it. ANY WAY Love yall and am Praying for the KUSTER's. Take Care, Take it Easy and TRUST JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Has deer pressure been bad??? Luv ya's from Kentucky!!!!
Who makes the best deal on a grain cart on the market?
Yea haw 😊😊😊😊😊
Am I the only one who is wondering who the kid was. Bu great video ryan hope you guys have a great rest of the harvest reason. How much rain did you get out of th rain we got an inch and a quarter
The child is our niece! She was introduced a few videos back. I am watching her and everywhere I go, she goes. We got a LOT of rain. Thanks for watching!
Ge a 1300 we have a 1100 and it's never big enough
1:30 did you get a new truck
I believe that’s Dad’s truck
I thought his truck was blue
How come Brent doesn’t give you an auger wagon to demo anymore Larsen farms Cole the corn star
Still gets one from them to use
Bigger fish in the sea
What is your shirt rfd tv mean?😊
I believe it’s a cable network that’s rural based
My cable provider carries RFD TV. It has a few interesting shows but mostly I watch the rodeos.
