      Good to know ignorant doctors aren’t unique to parts of the US, sadly physicians tend to be too arrogant to ever actually listen to their patients or take the time to learn about something they aren’t familiar with treating.

      I mean, I'm in the UK. I got a tick bite, leg swelled up, bullseye mark on leg. Diagnosed about 2 weeks after symptoms started, 2 week course of antibiotics and leg up for a few days so help manage the swelling. I was fine within 5 days or so but finished my treatment as you're meant to. The NHS was incredible because I could barely walk by the time I got to the hospital due to pain from the swelling. Been fine ever since.

      Liam Parkinson lucky you. But my cousin didn’t have any easily identifiable cause to her afflictions. So she had to go to America to get treatment. Turned out she had brain swelling as well as other things like glucose intolerance for some reason and a whole host of others.
      I’m glad the NHS were so helpful in your case !! And in almost every other regard they are Brilliant as well.

      Most insurance in the US will not pay for lyme. Before I found out I had something different I was about to fly to the UK. Bunk at a friend’s place and get treated. The doctors I saw in Arizona wore not aloud to treat me because if insurance.

    Lyme Disease can be very debilitating. Here in British Columbia the medical community wouldn't acknowledge its existence, so people that contracted it would not be treated and suffered terribly. Only one doctor would treat affected people, and his medical license was revoked for doing so.
    If you become infected, get treatment right away and make sure they give high doses of antibiotics. Failure to do so can cause the disease to become chronic.

    • @yaelwolfsong4616
      @yaelwolfsong4616 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      It is the same in the USA and some other countries.... many doctors may be aware of Lyme & are not allowed to acknowledge or treat it....especially the Emergency Medicine doctors, unfortunately. We have to seek out good "Lyme Literate MDs" and travel great distances to them....often moving to live near them, just to survive. Many do not live. Many commit suicide and their Lyme Disease is never recorded. Do whatever it takes.... yes...if you get a tick bite, SAVE THE TICK in a ziplock baggie, and send it for testing.... there are several places that test for free or a small fee, some charge more. ALWAYS obtain Doxycycline for adults that have been bitten, however you can obtain it....especially if you have acne (?) the doctors love to prescribe doxy for acne...(ahem!). Several weeks is barely enough for an initial infection....get yourself to a good Lyme literate Dr if you are bitten by a tick! Good advice, thank you, Robert Zanatta!!!

    I've been living with Lyme's disease for a little over a year now... Got bit by a tick in the park with my dog, had a huge bullseye, no idea what it was until a colleague urged me to see a doctor. I wasn't worried as I heard most of the time nothing happens and antibiotics do the job. 3 weeks of antibiotics didn't do the job. I'm officially chronic now and it's slowly getting worst. I get sick with awful flu like symptoms every single time I travel or am a bit stressed or cold or anything, get migraines, lose focus, sometimes wakeup with extreme weakness. It has made me very depressed, I used to be so healthy and now feel like ive aged 20 years... And there is nothing I can do about it. :(

      The Fur Monsters, very sorry you have Lyme Disease. Hope you have a good Lyme Literate MD ("LLMD") to help you tame your Lyme into remission, at least. 3 weeks of antibiotics has never worked for anyone with Lyme, that I've met or talked with, or read about! It's just not how Lyme works...for example, I took several antibiotics for many years, along with many other "alternative" (herbal) therapies & a gluten/sugar/meat/dairy-free diet...and it took me YEARS of hard work to get my Lyme into a remission-like state... and I still do get sick when intensely stressed or if someone I love dies, etc...It sucks, but I try to manage it best I am able. I hope that you can find help. It is out there, if you look for a good LLMD. Best wishes to you & your dog, too.

I saw a Toxicology decades later and found out I had it, bad heavy metal toxicity, & 6 confections...all from treatments & foods the FDA said was safe.
      U may want to research Medical ozone. Doctors who use it says it is the best thing known for Lyme, and it’s co-infections, and it actually helps mitochondrial & immune function etc. unlike antibiotics which wreck both & cause major chronic co-infections in so many cases.

    It's kind of too simplified if you state the reasoning not injecting humans with the protein is because humans aren't deer. Humans aren't cows either yet one of the earliest vaccines (which was against smallpox) was derived from smallpox in cows and yes I know that vaccines and protein injection are not similar but that is not the point here, the point is here simply that explaining it in this way may leave out some essential information.

    • @k-ro8639

      Seems like they would test the deer protein on mice, or other rodents that have Lyme. They test everything else on mice. The medical community has left so many people suffering. I contracted Lyme in 2005, and continue to have bouts of being so sick, that I can barely put one foot in front of the other. The Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University will not see patients with Lyme. They are a research hospital, so you would expect that they would be studying Lyme, and accepting Lyme patients. My PCP tried to get me in there in 2005, but they would not see me. I got home, in disbelief, and found an infectious disease doctor at MCV. I e-mailed her, and within a half-hour she answered me, and confirmed that they did not see Lyme patients. She said that Lyme disease mimics so many other diseases, and that it is called "The Great Imitator". That was my first dead-end in my fight with Lyme. I ended up seeing an infectious disease doctor, about five years into Lyme. She was very concerned and wanted to treat my with IV antibiotics. She called the CDC to make the report (as required), and they would not allow her to treat me. Come to find out, a doctor in NC who had been treating Lyme patients with IV antibiotics, lost his medical degree. It was a big deal, going through the Courts. Doctors act like they do not even want to hear the word "Lyme". I think word has gotten around about the doctor losing his license, so the medical community just sends you home. It makes me feel like I am just sitting here, waiting to die. It is so depressing, and isolating. I feel like I have the flu, without a fever. Study after study, and none of them tells anyone how to treat Lyme. It is a joke, and so frustrating. Here is this doctor stating that "humans are not deer". Thanks a lot. I would have never known. That is the exact reason why so many people are suffering. Doctors just put you off. They want to diagnose you in one minute, give you a prescription, and send you on your way. They are not educated in Lyme Disease, and make you feel like you are a hypochondriac. My last bout started in November 2019, and I have not left my house that entire time. I am so disgusted with doctors, that I no longer want to even go for my regular appointments. I go to bed at night, and pray to not wake up the next morning. Then, when I do wake up, I cry. I would not do anything to harm myself, as I know that would be a sin. I also do not want to leave that legacy to my family. So, all I have left is prayer and faith. Some days I get so mad with God. There are so many people suffering with so many dreadful diseases. I know a lot of people fight to live. I feel like I have given up. I lived a very blessed life, and feel as if I am sick now, I cannot complain. But, it is very hard to be sick everyday, and feel like there is nothing but dead ends out there. Sorry to rant on and on. I always hope that the right person will see people's struggles, and do something about it. I pray for everyone and anyone who is sick in any way.

      @@Enigminthemist I've been to several pain doctors. I used to be on pain meds but they can be addictive and have side effects. I got a medical marijuana card and have been experimenting with cannabis for pain relief. I like taking CBD edibles which seem to help with the pain. Unfortunately though in the east coast the selection is much more limited than what's available in the West coast. I like edibles because I can control the dosage of CBD or THC that's entering my body. I have to restock and I need to find a nearby dispensary that has something that'll work for me. I don't know if I'll ever be able to fix the root cause of the reason for the pain. I believe Bartonella and Lyme have left a lasting chronic pain in my legs.

    No mention of Wolbachi as a tick bacteria, it lives symbiotically with the common dog roundworm (known as the face parasite - it loves the human face - its cooler).
    The symtoms are similar to Lyme, it can only be detected by histopathology, it's described in literature as being a potentially undetected epidemic.

      Lyme Disease is PANDEMIC. Lyme Disease is rampant in every U.S. state, in every country. There is just as much Lyme in Arizona as there is in Long Island, NY, as there is in Rhode Island.... people suffering from it are often told that "It's growing pains", "It's just a little fatigue", "It's probably just not enough sleep", "You're probably just overworked", "It's arthritis", "It's all in your head", etc., ad nauseum. OR, they drop dead, are chronically ill/ misdiagnosed, hopefully minimally ill, just 'living with it', or seeking a 'rea'l diagnosis. The media never covers these patients, especially the dead ones who just die off.... Do not kid yourself...it is EVERYwhere there are animals and life.... and has been for thousands of years. Only now, "Lyme" is a massive cocktail of viruses, bacteria, and other pathogen-yuck...which no one test can possibly uncover. A patient would need to be checked for; Cytomegalovirus; Anaplasmosis; Bartonella; Babesia; Lyme Disease; Complete Blood Workup --all by a Lyme Literate MD, etc., etc., etc... in order to rule out "Lyme Disease". Where there are humans there is garbage. Where there is garbage there are mice and rats and birds and cats and dogs and deer and other life and.....ticks. You would need to be in an airtight, lifeless bubble to be in an area that does not have much Lyme! LOL. Birds are often covered with ticks. The ticks fly with the birds- around the world ...or back...or are dropped off right in your yard. Next time you are outside, look for a bird. If you see a bird, you have ticks and Lyme Disease where you live. Honest.

      I agree! However, if you suspect mold or Lyme, get tested!!! I’ve had it all starting with getting breast implants 19 years ago. It took 12 years to find out about the illnesses they can cause, and by that time I had to retire from my teaching job because I couldn’t think clearly, lost friends and family, a 20 year relationship, tons of money, etc., all because no one knew and thought I was on drugs.

    I am no doctor or scientist but I have read that lyme disease are not just bacterial infection. Lyme disease gives you TBE viral infection too. And another artical wrote that person can get fungal infection as well. You must take antiviral and antifungal medicine too, to get rid of your symptoms. That why inflammation persist in persons body after antibiotic treatment.

    • @yaelwolfsong4616
      @yaelwolfsong4616 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I am no doctor, either, but I sure feel more informed than most doctors, LOL!.....Yes, Lyme Disease is like a biowarfare viral/bacterial soup! Also, the coinfections that go along with Lyme Disease are plentiful and hard to spell: Bartonella, Babesia, Ehrlichia/Anaplasmosis, Cytomeglomeglovirus..and there's always Thrush from antibiotics, Q Fever, Tularemia, Mycoplasma, Powassan Virus, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever ("Rickettsia Rickettsii"), "Tickborne Relapsing Fever", Rickettsia Helvetica, Rickettsia Parkerii or Rickettsii Philipii, etc., etc..AND MORE. There are many pathogens in this one "Lyme Disease" that must all be diagnosed and treated appropriately. I tested positive for Bartonella, Babesia, Cytomegalovirus, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever & Lyme Disease....while my mother tested positive for Ehrlichia & Lyme Disease. My father died from Powassan fever and Lyme Disease & we did not get a chance to test him for anything else before he passed, unfortunately. My sibling tested extremely high positive for Bartonella and Lyme and died from complications. On a more upbeat note, I find that not eating gluten, sugar, meat & dairy was helpful in my recovery and DEFINITELY continues to be helpful in making me feel better. Oh, and I got Alpha Gal from one Lone Star tick bite, so I am allergic to meat, which is not a big deal for me, a vegetarian.... but I have to be REALLY careful about eating out....as most foods are often cooked together & if my food was cooked with meat, my body turns all red and blotchy and I look like I'm a cooked lobster that's about to explode...much drama, but luckily, I haven't had breathing complications...but I do carry an Epi Pen, just in case. Inflammation IS the bottom line with Lyme! YES! Eating Alkaline is key. Best wishes.

    As a child, between 5 and 7, I was always fooling around in my grandparents garden. Playing with muck, exploring trees, getting dirty, stirring up ants nests and so on. Every little bug was something wonderful. During the summer when I wanted to play in the high grass or in the more “wild” part of the huge garden I was made to wear long trousers and have my socks put over the underside of the pants. Off course I was also constant surrounded by the neighbourhoods cats, which were mostly carrying ticks and or flees. (I fed them my sandwich 😉)This was in the 70 ‘s so people didn’t have much to get the vermin off their pets. My granny used some kind of powder and put a flee collar on our cats but they still came home with ticks.. My parents and grandparents were so cautious in making me wear clothing that was mostly tick proof. As a child can you imagine wearing pants and socks and boots if it is really warm? Well I couldn’t either. Once I was out off sight, off came the clothes. Running around barefoot in my undies and t-shirt was a lot cooler but I got a lot of ticks stuck to my body... it was so bad that I was forbidden to go out playing without adult supervision. My poor parents had to go so many times with me to the doctor... Luckily I never got infected.

      I was just thinking....maybe your grandmother used Seven dust or "Diatomaceous Earth" (DE) on the ground and/or kitties... I often use food-grade Diatomaceous Earth (DE) for many things...on the ground, my dogs like to sunbathe on....in garden, etc...you can even eat it..DE controls fleas, ticks, mites, ants....DE fertilizes soil, deodorizes the kitty litter box....kills worms & parasites...makes a fabulous facial scrub, etc... Anyway, I am so very impressed... Your parents were absolutely brilliant & vastly ahead of their time! You are SO LUCKY!!!!! I am so very happy that you did not get this dreadful plague. It is truly awful & I love your parents for taking such good care of you!!!! P.S. Tuck your pant legs in your knee socks! LOL, it works!

    well the same concept goes for producing anti-venom, if deer blood can create the anti-bacteria protein then sure enough it can put into use

    I disagree with this info . As damaged cells have been observed when inhabited by Borrelia as Lyme sprachetes can enter the human cell!

    Humans aren't deer but understanding how the protein in deer actually kill the bacteria would certainly seem helpful in coming up with treatment or vaccines

      You would think this would be studied like....many, many decades ago. Hmmm.... Meanwhile the Centers for Disease Control people would be placing their own personal patents on that, too...just like they did on the phony "Lyme vaccines" they injured so many people and pets with, and continue to lie about. Watch the movies "Under Our Skin" and the sequel "Under Our Skin 2: Emergence". Knowledge really is power!

    If deer have proteins in their body that kills Lyme, why do ticks contract it from the deer only to go on and spread it around?
    I was bit by a tick in Maine in July 2016. Sent the tick in for testing and it had Lyme. 3 years later I seem fine and the test I had for Lyme came back negative so thank goodness for that. Lyme can be a nightmare.

      Lyme Disease can go into remission, and that's a great place for it to be! I find that a gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free diet helps keep my Lyme symptoms minimal. Also exercise, when I'm able. Do whatever works for you!!
