    From the ground it all looks somewhat graceful, from inside the cockpit's those pilot's must be sweating bullets. Great video.

    Nice! Was spotting about a year ago at an airport in Australia. An Airnorth Embraer 170 performed a triple go around trying to fly into bad weather, he then finally landed on their 4th attempt. Wish I had my camera that day.

    Awesome video Elliot. Some great flying skills by the pilots, that Easyjet A319 though, wow.

    • @milesaharrison
      @milesaharrison 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      easyJet nailing it of course!... Easily the best landing in the video!

    • @CBGSpotter
      @CBGSpotter  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Again nothing to do with the pilots. easyJet use A319/320s both of which have fly-bye wire which is favorable in these conditions whereas 737s use older tech.

      Toronto Plane Spotter Wouldn’t be much of a pilot then if you’d be nervous to fly in the conditions. What about some professional pride in your training and ability to still carry out the job expected of you in the demanding conditions? I didn’t fly during this storm, but Storm Doris last year was my first go of flying during such weather since being promoted to Captain, I certainly wasn’t nervous about going to do my job, I know I’ve trained hard for years to do the job and take on the responsibility, take every day as it comes and walk away thinking about how you’ve got several hundred people to where they need to be, even in such conditions.

    Wow, That is amazing!! Excellent catches and filming. Conditions were similar here at Heathrow and BA pilots certainly handled it better :)

    • @CBGSpotter
      @CBGSpotter  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I think its more the fact they had a straight headwind where as the wind was 30/70 degrees offset here. Thanks :)

    • @CBGSpotter
      @CBGSpotter  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah Ryanair pilots know there stuff as much as BA's do. The direction of wind is what makes it more hard to handle.

    All filmed go-arounds are Ryanair flights, am I correct?

    • @CBGSpotter
      @CBGSpotter  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thats correct, there was one just as we were setting up which was low and very wobbly but I didn't have my camera ready. Thanks for watching.

    What I took from this is that if you're in a storm don't fly Ryanair. They can't land planes

    • @CBGSpotter
      @CBGSpotter  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its because they use 737s which are harder to land than Airbus.
