Looks awesome! So I have a few large cheap pictures I bought years ago that are basically a photo print enlarged and put on canvas. I could do the same thing with them? Could I also just reuse the canvas by putting Gesso all over and painting my own picture. I am just worried the photo print will lift over time and ruin the painted picture.
Especially the reuse part, I have a large canvas and I have a large project but dont want to waste my time if the paint wont sit right even after applying multiple layers of gesso

It is 😂 but most paintings sold at the market are like this . Sometimes you need to apply this technique on your own painting after you print them out in a big canvas . They will not be clear so you will need to apply paint again on them .

I do this very same technique only I photo shop a bunch of photos together first to create a scene. Print then paint. ❤

Do i need to prime it with clear prime 1st so the oil paints dont leak through ? Thanks

It's not. You still need to know how to paint.
