I didn`t watch any news related to this update, so can someone explain why some character`s weapons got changed? What was wrong with Orisa`s ranged shield and self damage negation? I`m not sure how it is balanced, but javelin/Genji cosplay mode seems less useful than shield that you can deploy at a distance. Or an ability to pull enemy in line of fire/bottomless pit, that I forgot about. Reinhardt still got one ranged option. Guess it works with the idea of him being defense-oriented character, but I wish for some pistol/gauntlet mounted weapon for situation when shield breaks. Winston got what seems like actually ranged option. Finally. Previous ?-range lightning arcs are annoying to use. It`s hard to tell, but Zarya still has finite range on her piss beam? Guess it might have been extended somewhat, but I`m not sure. Ashe has multiple uses of dynamite? Or is it training (or whatever else you used) mode cooldown reduction? Because 1 dynamite was annoying enough. Bastion has grenades in recon mode. Where do they come from and can he still self-heal? Or this is supposed to be equal value ability swap? It`s not, healing is way more useful. McCree`s grenade was changed? Is it just a name and damage effect change, or an actual change in properties? With "magnetic" in the name I guess it supposed to stick to metal things. Why not just name them sticky then? Hanzo has multiple sonic arrows now? Or is it still same no cooldown in this mode thing? Mei`s frost beam looks worse. Sombra`s machine pistol sounds worse. Sounds like lego-bastion firing his last rounds, instead of the old "brrrrt". Ana`s rifle looks mismatched now. Guess it is fixable with skins but it looks like front assembly is from entirely different gun. Brigitte also still has only one actually ranged option. Moira`s flat purple "weapon" arm look bad. Again fixable with skins, but why make it that plain. Yes, I noticed veins, somewhat better than old flat texture, still plain purple. Edit: and thanks for showcasing this, my PC decided to stop properly working right when this came out.
Orisa's gameplay was extremely lackluster and arguably boring compared to other tanks, so she was reworked into a brawler tank, which is honestly way more fun then what she used to be. She can push people off maps with her spear spin and javelin throw abilites, and her ult can hold people in place while she charges up a powerful AOE attack. Reinhardt got his shield lowered but his health was vastly increased, they also increased his damage output cuz they gave him two firestrikes but they should honestly (in my opinion) stick back to one and give him more shield, so he can hold fights better, he's meant to protect his team, not brawl with two healers up his cheeks 24/7. Winston got an alternate fire that allows him to shoot from pretty far for up to 50 damage, that way he can still build alt charge or getting a pick on a low health enemy without having to close the gap with them and risk dying, it's pretty neat. Zarya's beam wasn't changed, they gave her the ability to use her two bubbles on just herself or just her teammates though, you can just use your bubbles for whatever you want. She's meta as hell right now when you play selfishly cuz you get energy quick, so you can just walk in and beam people haha. Only change I think Ashe got is that Bob was changed from 1200 health to 1000 health if I remember, no infinite dynamite. Bastion can move around in his turret mode now, but he can only be in turret mode for like 8 seconds, he also has an alternate grenade instead of self heal, and can use it in and out of turret mode. He can also use the grenade to blast-jump up to different positions to cover the highground or flank the enemy, he's way more consistent now. Cassidy's scummy flashbang was changed to a homing grenade that explodes two seconds after being stuck to something, whether that be a wall or an enemy, dealing 130 damage. The two second timer allows healers to be able to save the stuck person if they can heal them for more then 130, most characters are 200 health. Hanzo wasn't changed at all if I remember, just one sonic arrow, storm arrows, and his trusty dragons. Mei doesn't freeze people anymore, now she does 100 damage per second while constantly slowing down the enemy more and more, which is honestly really useful when you coordinate with the team. Her damage output is way more now, and she's way more fun to play against. Her ultimate still freezes people though, and they stay frozen for a WHILE. Sombra's smg sounded way better in the Overwatch 2 Beta, don't know why they changed it but they did. I don't know what you mean by Ana. I like her new design personally. Brig no longer stuns, but she gets inspire (her healing effect from attacking) from shield bashing as well, so she can just keep landing attacks to put out great consistent healing. Her shield bash also goes wayyyy farther, so she can cross bigger gaps and close gaps between her and enemies way easier. Moira's arm is like a whole monster arm, a crazy looking creation haha.

They're moving most of the CC stuff to the tanks, so mostly only tanks can stun and slow.

Same things as the original, some weapons are hitscan like sojourn, Mcree etc, while others like kiriko, genji, and hanzo are projectiles with arcs and travel time
