I hit 70 with my mini t, these cars aren't designed to do these speeds and I've blown out a complete set of rear bearings. I'll probably just run mine on 2s from now on
If you were building a speedrun car out of it, how come you didnt just remove the rear wing? Were you looking for a little rear traction and/or downforce? I feel like you could have added rear weight to keep the rear planted or toss a few stick on weights inside the wheels (if room allows). I just bought one yesterday but dont plan on making a speedrun car out of it. I am getting a Castle system for mine but am on the fence whether to get the sensored 2650 combo or the 8200 kv unsensored combo. Just looking to rip it around. I definitely prefer sensored systems but im not sure the Mini B really needs it. What are your thoughts? This is far from my first RC as ive got 16 others including the Losi 5ive T, Arrma outcast 8s, and super rock rey to name a few. This is my first small scale and up till this point my smallest RC was the Losi DB Pro. I have no budget, i just want to get off the fence of whether to get the sensored or unsensored.
Hey! You got a record without using LN2! Nice! I've said it before, and I'll say it again: You sir, are making me want to get back into RC cars again. I've always wanted one with this style of chassis. The old Traxxas had a BMW style body on it, but I later switched it over to an Eclipse body as that was the actual car I had at the time. I stopped using it, and I had a buddy of mine who wanted to buy it, so I sold it to him for next to nothing. Anyway, I'd be interested to see a custom front spoiler like the one on the Scion Time Attack car. Its literally a spoiler for the rear, but mounted on the hood of the car. Print one out, and give it one more go to see how things go, (or just use the old spoiler from the last car, and mount that to the front of this one). Either way, it looks like you currently have a "Moon tune" in that thing. Any plans for getting any different types of RC cars?
How do you find the 8200kv motor lasts with the 3s batteries? From what I’ve read they aren’t rated for 3s but I know a few people running this set up. Tempted to give it a try but don’t want to burn a Motor out after a single run.. also is the shaft on the castle 0808 8200kv is a smaller shaft dia than stock? If so where can I find replacement pinions with the correct size shaft for the castle motors. Cheers
You're correct. Castle says the 0808 8200kv motor is not 3s compatible. However, because the gearing used was so tall, the motor may not have exceeded an RPM outside the limitations of the motor bearings. Spinning an ungeared motor on 3s would spin the bearings roughly 90,000rpm, but geared up it may not have exceeded 60k-70k... a total roll of the dice. I'm sure the transmission took a beating spinning that quickly... sure didn't sound good.
I've been running mine on 3s for almost 2 years as a speed runner and havnt damaged it or had to replace the bearings yet. 8200kv castle system. The car does eat the wheel bearings like mad though. Just to small for that sort of rpm
And how fast is it stock? Dont get me wrong, I'm interested, but dont want a slow poke on stock config where I'll be tempted to sink a ton of money into it
Stock these are ~15mph, but because they're so small it's still a lot of fun. You can pick up a nice Surpass or Dynamite brushless ESC/motor combo for like $50 that will get you into the 30s with no problem on 2s.
been watching ur rc vids over last few weeks its making me think about getting my hoboa hyper7 out again is there anything i need to do coz its been sitting there for like 3-4 years
I'd rather do speed runs with that instead of all the 15+ pound Arrma cars I see people doing them with! I think I could take this one in the ankle without major surgery! Awesome and congrats on the 71MPH!!
I remember when he messaged me begging me for the gearing and said he would give me a shoutout if I told him, lying prick didn't say shit about me in the video 👎
That thing's faster than stock depleting at micro center on a Thursday morning!
Eh, it's close lol
I didn’t even see it go by the first time. Lol

What did you use for a pinion? Is it still 48 pitch? I know that castle motor has a really small shaft size.
He wont tell ya cause its all false bud
These people with their top secret gear ratios crack me up.
Gotta leave a little mystery in there ya know?
Does that thing run on INTEL, AMD or NVIDIA?

Where did you get those wheels
What's the gearing and stuff?
3:50 nice
Hold on, Im fairly new to the rc world so I bought a mini t and installed the same 8200 kv. I thought it wasn't 3s compatible? I know the esc is.
what tires are those

Lots of plans lol. I have a bunch of cars and trucks to play with
@@BPSCustoms Looking forward to that content for sure!
What motor is in there and what servo?
Whats your gearing?
That is awesome, man!
I've never been into RC cars. I repeat, I've never BEEN into RC cars.
This is just awesome!
It's a ton of fun with a fairly low barrier to entry. Of course, like anything, it can get expensive if you want it to.
@@BPSCustoms with technology now tho, you can definitely get hella good speed and power for relatively cheap. Great time for the hobby!!!!!

Also Robinson Racing makes an adapter for the shaft size difference.. You'll have to figure out the spur situation. Research.
Wich Motor and ESC did you use? Im looking for a 3S Combo for my Mini B. Greets from Austria.
I go over this in the first 45 seconds of the video
What's your motor size ? 2840?
3:50 nice
aww, someone beat me to it
Nice 👍… what motor pinion spur gear and battery you using ?nice video

@@BPSCustoms they seem like the controls range pretty far as well
Always wanted one of those
Link in description - they're surprisingly cheap for how fun they are, even stock
@@BPSCustoms was always more of a Tamiya fan, i loved the realism, but this Losi cars are just pure fun
What diff do you use
MIP ball diff
what body pin retainer is that?
Of this model cause my mini 8b will hit 92 all day, there was one a few yrs back that pulled 98 in the 132ft.
been watching ur rc vids over last few weeks its making me think about getting my hoboa hyper7 out again is there anything i need to do coz its been sitting there for like 3-4 years
I don’t know what the condition is. Just make sure your batteries are properly balanced if they’ve been sitting that long
Is that Carrol County?
What tires are on the rear?
Contact foams
I hit 83 with mine. Will add video
Love my mini bs so much fun in the back yard

I have a Felony and a Limitless - let me tell you they are terrifying at speed. They could break someone's leg easy.
Yeah I'm going to get you in a couple days don't worry 90 to 107 mph I'll post it up and show you on 6s
Man, you are about to get me started into another hobby. My wife is going to hate you.
That's what I'm here for. To piss off wives.
That looks like proper fun
Coming for that record
How'd that go? Ill get a video of mine up here soon. Had 70mph last season easy b4 winter.
you should get that thing on an air strip or flat concrete .. bet you could kick it up some MPH!
My next build will require something similar to get to top speed
Was Fastest in the world haha
You leave room for doubt when you don’t show the gps zeroed out at the beginning of the run.
Thank God he doesn't have to answer to some dork on the internet
@@dickfitzwelliner2807 Hahaaha
I thought uh oh back at the place with the big metal I-beams oh no at the first place you ran it and site of the crash of the other one 🤦♂️
Call speed least the components can can handle the power though
Pretty cool
Nice.
very bold claim can't stand people like you
That aint the fastest. I hit 75 my guy goin for 85
definitely not the fastest mine does 85mph
Not as fast as mine lol. Where did you get your information from on fastest in the world son?
Its not the fastest in the world, but good try.
You seem like the kinda guy that lies about everything. Thats not cool.
