Kip's Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

- Dogs truly are a human's best friend! So that's why it's important to give them wholesome, clean food, just like we do in our own bodies. These peanut butter dog biscuits are my dog's favorite homemade treat and they'll soon be your dog's as well!

INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 3 tbsp ground flaxseed
- 1 large ripe banana, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 2 tbsp oat flour
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Pulse the oats in a food processor until they begin to break down, 6 pulses. Add the peanut butter, ground flaxseed, and banana. Pulse the food processor until the mixture is evenly combined and resembles a cookie dough, 20-30 pulses.
- Sprinkle the countertop with oat flour and roll the dough out evenly to approximately ¼ thick. Use a cookie or biscuit cutter to cut out the treats. Set them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake the treats in the preheated oven until they have dried out slightly. The edges will feel dry to the touch and the treat will be rigid, 10-12 minutes. Remove the treats from the oven and cool for 5 minutes. Store the treats in an airtight container on the counter for one week or in the freezer for up to one month.

Thanks for being such a profound example in life... that injuries and health problems in pets and animals doesn’t mean they are disposable. Kaleb, please don't be offended but as cute as you are, Kip is cuter. (Kip paid me to say that.) He is precious and so attentive to everything going on! ALL your recipes I've seen, are very well executed and ALL I've made have been delicious. I don't have a dog now but have friends who do. These will make perfect gifts! Look at him, licking his chops! My dog would have probably freaked out being that close to the food processor. She’s a scaredy-cat. She will come running into the kitchen when she hears me take the sticker off an apple! She loves apples.

How sweet! I make almost the same recipe for my pups, but instead of banana, I use pumpkin. I will have to try the banana and see if they like it.

Just in a container would be fine
A regular air tight container would work just fine. That is what I use to store my homemade treats.
Don’t apologize pets r part of the family. It be different if u were making dinner for guests. My yorkie runs the house any never made a payment on it.
Just make sure the peanut butter contains no xylitol, also called wood sugar, birch sugar, and birch bark extract. These are poisonous to dogs. It’s also a good idea to make sure the peanut butter is salt free.
