We go over how to replace the air filter on your 2017 Jeep JK. This tutorial is also applicable for replacing the air filters in Jeeps JK's from 2007 to 2018. As regular maintenance this should be done around 15,000 miles or 20,000km. This is easy to do so you can save yourself some money by completing this kind of maintenance on your 2017 Jeep JK yourself.

Dude thank you for doing this video! What do you think about one I can clean myself and reuse. It’s about $50,

Not a bad thing, I know people go with the K&N for an increased airflow and long term cost savings which isn't a bad thing. Personally for me the paper filter is just a no-brainer replacement, with zero hassle.

Can't remove the 10mm bolts on mine--they get to a certain point and just spin. I had a hell of a time tightening them back up

Odd, sounds like they were maybe cross threaded

@@JDirom thnks. I can see a small green nut that the bolt goes through but can't find a tool I can use to grasp it because it's so cramped--I had to use a flathead to hold the nut to tighten the bolt. I didn't want to remove it all the way because I was worried I might not be able to tighten the bolt again.

@@CheaplaffsJohnson probably the best move, I can honestly say I have never experienced that at all.

    This requires one tool only.
The tool nobody can ever find.

Always the case, even when you have every tool you would ever need.

@@JDirom I was looking for my darby, and was pretty sure it was behind my biscuit joiner on the shelf, but it wasn’t. Just my spud wrench.
Also I haven’t had a 10mm socket for more than 72 hours in my entire life. Unless you count the 1/8 inch drive one in my wife’s tool drawer in the kitchen.
