I cruised on the Reflection August 2015. The ship is amazing. The staff was phenomenal. This was a trip of a lifetime. The Mediterranean Cruise was the best ever. I would love to cruise again one day. Five star rating!!!!! I highly recommend.
I went on this ship November of 2013 and went to a family friends wedding and the captain was there and they really just treat you great. Can't wait until 3/25/17 for my next one on this ship
Mike, your tour was OUTSTANDING!!! My husband and I have booked a cruise on the Reflection in December 2016. First time on the Reflection. The narration and close-ups of all the decks was A+++++ Keep up the good work!!
Yes, very good detailing and it makes me wanna go on a Celebrity cruise though I'd be scared to get lost haha. Maybe that's exactly what it'll do. Lots of places to be zen and clear your mind especially when they go to the middle of the ocean. Can't even imagine how cool that must be.
We went on a trans Atlantic cruise on Celebrity. We enjoyed it. It was pretty nice in general. There is not much to do at night. They even shut down the hot tubs at 10 pm. At least Carnival keeps the hop tubs open until midnight. I don't know why they think they have to shut down everything so early. They should have something for the night owls and the early risers.
I wish I had known there was a way to get into the pool as a woman with a disability. I didn’t know this, it was never made available to me and I wish it had been. I would have enjoyed a swim. I’m not wheelchair bound and I can walk ...guess this is probably why. It was a beautiful ship and a great cruise with my crochet group.
I went on the reflection for the 2014 to 2015 new years cruise. 1 thing I think you missed which was my favorite part of the ship was the hideaway. I think it is on floor 8 I could be mistaken though! Great video!
Hello, seeing your TH-cam video for the first time. Really impressed. I have a booking for June 2021. You did advise of helping to get a better deal which an really interested in .
Myself and my wife are on this ship for an 11 day Med Cruise at the beginning of June. I really cannot wait, and I'm slowly getting excited the closer it gets. This is our first time on a Celebrity cruiseline. Does anyone know how this cruise holds up against the Holland & America fleet?
Question first time cruiser to be. I have looked at this company's packages online. If I booked a cruise and premium drinks package (as I wish to eat and drink till the cows come home 24 hours a day ). The small print says an 18% charge will be applied to the bill at the end of the cruise, is this 18% on everything I order which I have already paid for upfront in the packages add on. Call me simple or a novice. If one book a cruise with tips included and with a drinks package. Why the extra 18%. Can you explain it to me. PS excellent video
Thx for Watching! The Classic and Premium Beverage Package is available for selected drinks only, and does not include room service, in-stateroom purchases, mini bar items or souvenir glasses. Optional gratuities may apply to certain on-board purchases (such as spa, specialty dining and drinks above the package amount -see below) and are not included in the Gratuities Included offer.
Mike - i love your videos. very informative. But one pet peeve - i have to watch with the volume off because you start every sentence with "of course." "Of course we are in cabin 214, where of course they have derici shampoo, and of course the lime colored curtains where of course you can stand on one foot and of course...." Not sure those go without saying.... Just ribbing you a bit. Good videos. Of course.
Hey man I really like your videos! I was just wondering would you be able to give me a little advice, im thinking of going on a cruise soon but ive never been on one before. Im just wondering what theyre like for people in their 20's? And is there any company in particular you would recommend or advise me to stay away from? I live in Ireland so ill probably go on a cruise to some places in Europe. If you have anything you could tell me id really appreciate it. Keep making these vids man, theyre cool.
Michael's wasn't just for suite classes back in the Century class ships day when it debuted. And it wasn't in the Millennium class ships either. I don't like that. At least this ship has nice lounges. The Edge pretty much did away with lounges. This is a very nice ship but extra-cost here and there are quite obvious and even more the case with the Edge. I hope the new changes to the ship don't screw up the character. I don't really like the blue hull on this class of ship but it's going to be on all of them in the future.
What camera do you use and you should check out the dream a Disney cruise line me and my family went there there pool isn't the best it's always crowded
Does it bet boring at night? The last time I went on a Celebrity ship they shut the hot tubs down at 10pm. If you wanted to take a dip in the hot tub you had to skip the show. The ship was good they just didn't do anything for the night owls or the early risers. At least Carnival keeps the hot tubs open till 12:00 midnight.
Hello: If you happen to know of Carnival Glory, could you compare it with this please? I am looking to cruise in Feb. Reflection itinerary: Miami, Florida - San Juan, Puerto Rico - Philipsburg, Netherlands Antilles - Basse Terre, Saint Kitts and Nevis - Miami, Florida Glory itinerary: Miami, Florida - Amber Cove, Dominican Republic - St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands - San Juan, Puerto Rico - Grand Turks, Turks and Caicos Islands - Miami, Florida
Just me but I prefer smaller ships with lower capacity. Over 3,000 on board is too many. But celebrity is the best cruise line. I've taken several first time was a Bermuda cruiser on the Meridian (retired ship that was wonderful in the late 80's early 90's.
Is there a theater on board to see movies? Or now they have larger TV you have to watch them there? You did not show one on the tour. Like the idea of a comedy club.
We went on this ship in June, there was one film per night (so no choice) on a screen outdoors, usually started very late (22.30 or 23.00) so it was cold by then. We never went. Hope this helps
Mike, I am gonna call you out on the statement that you can save people money versus booking through the cruise line. Where I live the travel agents claim the same thing and not one time have they saved me money when I have them quote a cruise for me. This is basically a line that agents use to lure you in when basically they are not saving you any money at all. By the way I book 2 cruises every year so I am not a rookie at this. Sorry but I have to call it as I see it. In 10 years I have booked 1 cruise with an agent and it was not a great experience.
Mike Lukins' Affluent Journeys @ Talk to them like what? I am not disrespecting you at all. Just asking the questions and making the comment that every travel agent I have ever called on a cruise quote was either higher or the same price as calling the cruise line direct. Not wanting to start a pissing match but can you honestly tell me I am not telling the truth? I have given local travel agents a call so many times wanting to support them only to ask the question, why didn't I just call the cruise line direct? I am headed out on a cruise this weekend and I received service from the cruise line that I have never received from an agent. The local agent I spoke with in person went to the same website to check pricing that I went to. It's not like agents have a secret website that they go to for special pricing to save me money. My question? What can you give me that a direct call to the cruise line doesn't give me?
I just spoke with Mike, finally. First, he's non-responsive in communications. Appears to be focused totally on himself, then helping new prospects, clients, or leads. Maybe he's has enough business already. He works from home. I left messages. After numerous attempts to speak with him live on the phone, email and text, it took over a day to get him live. The Super Bowl was more important than taking an order. Didn't take any personal interest in my situation. Did not ask if this was a special occasion, or anything related to building a business relationship. Then, quoted a Signature Suite at retail prices. Said he couldn't improve, but asked me what my best number was. I simply asked to give me his lowest number, (we're talking about an $11,000.00 cruise). We both agreed that we're not a good fit together, and he literally hung up on me! Yes. He hung up on me, and I was not a jerk. You want to work with an Agent like this? I'm taking my business to Cruise One, (Cruise It), where they indeed give discounts. Mike's, videos are extremely successful, but this is a personal relationship business, which you seem to really not care about your clients. A tree is known by it's fruit and all you care about, IMO, is yourself and your business. To others: I would never do business with Affluent Journeys. He's a one man show, and Buyer Beware. Prices are not discounted. His strategy is that he wants you to book with him, instead of the Cruise line directly. Check out Cruise One, or Cruise It prices,, which is not a "one man show", but a solid travel company.
Just finished a Baltic Cruise last week. Nice ship.great staff, excellent food, great cabins, pool decks good feels roomy.... the down side, entertainment very poor obviously on a very limited budget. bars poor, casino no atmosphere. Brilliant ship if you go to bed at 10.30.
Nice ship. I think the cruise industry is getting greedy . Seems like they want to charge for quite a lot of things . You might get a good deal on your cruise . Then they rip you off on board . We have been on a lot of cruises . Not to much of a good deal anymore . We have been cruising on Princess lately . They charge you to use the outside adult lounge area. I know the cruise lines are in the business to make money . But it's getting out of hand. 😬
The decor reminds me of an Ikea--kind of industrial and very square with the predominant color of black. It's a beautiful ship, but not cheery--kind of depressing.
The buffet is no better than Golden Corral, I think these cruise companies have gone too far, so much better value to simply fly to an all Inclusive resort.
Agreed. Take your business elsewhere. Mike literally hung up on me, and I was not being a jerk. I was ready to place an order, and he would not discount an $11,000 cruise. He literally hung up on me. He's a one man show, not a profound travel Agent or company. Run and take your business elsewhere. Buyer Beware!

All those bags and towels on the sun loungers - the crew should just throw them in the pool -- great video though ty
Thx for watching!
Great video. What kind of day time activities do they have?
All kinds.. Thx for watching!
Hi, Mike. Liked the video and the ship. However, I am left wondering if that loud music pervades the public areas every day?
not all the time..thx for watching!

Nightclub stay open late, bars..
It looked like if you are up all they want you to do is drink at the bar. What if you are not a drinker?
They have a full daily calendar of events..
And they shut down at 10 pm. There is nothing for the night owls and the early risers.
what do you want him to say? he didnt build the damn ship LOL

Sadly it's TRUE. We were spoiled on cruise ships from 80's and 90's. The food then was amazing. Now it's like a sad buffet in comparison.
