I went on my first Celebrity cruise in November of 2023, which happened to be on the Reflection, and it was also my very first solo cruise. Unlike you, I love to sing, but unfortunately I arrived too late and missed my chance at karaoke. I had an amazing trip. I loved it so much that, in less than 24 hours after returning home, I was already booking another cruise. I am looking forward to my next cruise in November of 2024 with my eldest sister. It will be a great chance to connect with her on the Celebrity Reflection! This cruise was my 7th vacation in just 13 months. I love travel so much that I had since decided to become a travel agent. I've been on 9 trips in exactly 2 years, with 3 more still to take for the rest of 2024. I am absolutely loving being a travel agent. I finally found something that I'm passionate about!!! Although....I don't know if I'll ever be able to top your record... a cruise every weekend. Now that would be my dream!!! lol
hahah, you are well on your way to cruising every weekend! Thank you for sharing about your solo experience and how great it was and for diving in as a travel agent! You all are amazing.
Love this for you, how awesome! ❤ I have been looking into becoming a TA, any advice? It's hard to navigate where to start. Don't want an MLM company. Thank you so much!
@@DestineesDestinations Thank you for your response. Not sure about you, but I am a Canadian. It really wasn't hard at all to become an agent in Canada, more specifically, Ontario, but I'm not sure what the process is in the US. I agree with you 100%...I would never want to be a part of an MLM. Once I studied and passed my TICO exam in Ontario, I focused on finding a reputable hosting agency that is not focused on putting money in their pocket, but being fair on both sides. My advice would be...if you are passionate about travel, and in my case, solo travel since becoming a widow at such a young age , I would absolutely do it. Life is too short to focus on anything that doesn't make you happy. Best of luck!
Been on the Reflection a few times. A few thoughts. First, Qsine is now the home of the Le Petit Chef production. This is actually a lot of fun and deserves to be seen at least once. It's a dinner show. Essentially, there is a projector over each table that allows an animated film to be shown on the table featuring the Petit Chef preparing each course. It is great for families, but is enjoyable for all ages. And the food is good as well, albeit with a limited menu (typically only two choices for each course). As to the entry room to the restaurants on deck 5, it's different on each Solstice class ship but with a similar theme. If you listen carefully in each room, there is typically some sound that goes off as you walk through. On the Reflection, it's soft bells and chimes.
I was on the same cruise that Brandon documented and was traveling with some friends who've done Reflection and other Solstice ships, and they mentioned about the ambient noise/tones in that room. We stood around for quite a while at a quiet time, with few passengers coming through, and we heard zilch. Not certain what was/wasn't happening there, but we tried.
Thanks Timothy and good comments! I still just don't understand the point of the themed room with sounds. Unfortunately, I think most people keep on walking and miss it all together.
I can HIGHLY recommend Murano if you want a special experience. The food is absolutely worth the $60 fee. I also LOVE Blu, but it's getting more and more expensive to sail in Aqua Class. I believe Elite & above can have breakfast in Tuscan Grill. Food is also good in there.
You are right on the Tuscan Grill but they call it "elite coffee hour". You can get a free specialty coffee and meets/cheeses with a pastry. I actually rarely think about it as am a growing boy and need more food lol
I so much like this ship more than the Edge class. I know people seem to like newer better and the Edge ships have the tech but I much prefer the richer darker woods and more lively colors and patterns than the muted, taupe look of the Edge class ships. I also prefer this decor because it has a feeling of a modern take on 1920s-1950s style, and that was a very fashionable time in our history. I like the smaller nooks and crannies and partitions and such. It's not even this particular ship, but the Solstice class in general that I like. And of course, since it has been in service longer it'll show more wear but that doesn't bother me. The biggest thing is it has a Sky observation area for all passengers and doesn't have the suite class reserved that the Edge ships have. The thing with me is I've been with Celebrity since the Zenith/Horizon class and this class relates to that class. The Edge doesn't really. The Edge is more like Celebrity's version of the NCL Prima (without bumper cars and that family type of stuff). Nice job with the tour. Thank you.
My pleasure Benjamin and thank you for the comment! I have not done an Edge class but believe I will probably share your opinion. I love my older and smaller cruise ships that remind me of when I first started sailing too.
@@TheWeekendCruiser The revolutionizing of them has made a few areas exclusive, something I dislike. I also like the look of the retreat lounge ship, in this lounge. I don't like the Retreat lounges on the Edge ship and some of the revolutionized ships are in the style of that lounge. All the rich warm furnishings have been replaced with Ikea, well upscale Ikea, style light colored furniture with a splash of orange. But, they're still Solstice ships with the changes.
Actually our first weekend cruise on Reflection was with you last weekend! It was so nice to meet you in Coco Cay! Thanks again for taking a pic with us!
This class of ship does have a good amount of windows but when I was filming during the day, they keep the blinds down to control the temperature. It is more open and less small feeling given the size.
Is this your group cruise or is that the one in September? Ship has nice warm colors, but it seems so enclosed. No wide open Atriums like Princess and MSC. I haven't watched a ship tour in a bit. I'm enjoying this mucho. Still trying to decide if I'm gonna go on a Solo Cruisers and Cabin Sharing Facebook group Celebration Halloween sailing. Now I'm starting to see an atrium as you're showing the Mah Jong area. Bocci Ball.
Hey Jeffrey! Good memory! This was the group cruise! Small but might group! For a Celebrity ship, it is actually more open than it's prior Millinimum class ships which are more enclosed. I actually didn't like Solstice class at first because I like having defined hallways and restaurants but here they seem to blend together. They have the grand foyer by the coffee shop and gives more a centrum feel of older classes of ships. If looking for a good solo group, feel free to come with us too on sept 26 on a 4-night cruise on Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas (my 2nd favorite) as we are normally half solo cruisers. www.theweekendcruiser.com/group-cruises
The stack? You mean the exhaust stakes from the engine room? I guess it is better than nothing or maybe the concept just didn't age well. Thanks for sharing!
I bet you that weird room you couldn’t figure out what it was for, is probably there specifically for people to use as a photo backdrop for vacation selfies.
Most cruise ship gyms are luckily all in the same place. In the front of the ship by he spa. In the case of Reflection, you do have to walk through the spa and it is on the backside. Means you get cucumber water if you want it :-)
Brandon: It was a pleasure to briefly cross paths with you a few times during that weekend. I had a truly fantastic short cruise (minus shoreside embarkation) and actually considered staying onboard, but my office said a big No. Q-sine/Le Petite Chef was a visual delicious feast, and I highly recommend. Tuscan Grill was better than anticipated. Murano offered one of the best specialty dining experiences over many cruises. Superb! Seems you passed by The Porch soon after we finished our lunch, and there were very few people there even then. I was looking forward to your comment about the production show for opinion compare but will say that Ryan Joyce (magician) was very entertaining, and frustrating with trying to figure out the magic. Also . . . your earlier videos for enjoying a visit to Perfect Day were SOOO accurate and helpful, so a sincere Thank You for those. I put a checkmark by Hideaway (did enjoy) but will probably not repeat it on my next one. Be Well !!
Don, was a pleasure to meet you as well and thank you for saying hello!!! Thank you for the feedback on food as that is one area I have not ventured into yet is Celebrity's specialty dinning! It has not felt crowded to me but it is sailing at full capacity or close to it most sailings. Also helps that most weekends does not have a sea day and everyone flocks to the pool.

Another great video! Sailing on Celebrity Reflection 9/16/2024
Me too! So ready!
Will be there next Friday very excited !!
I cruised on the Reflection and I love this ship... my favorite so far!!
On Reflection in 23 days. Been so looking forward to this video!
Always glad to deliver! Check out the next one too on my overall thoughts from the weekend!
The Reflection is an outstanding ship! Hope you enjoyed it as much as we have!
I've seen the reflection when I was just in Nassau. Will look online and see what sailings they have
She's doing weekends for a bit! Monday 4night sailings and Fri 3 night sailings. Forget where she goes at the end of the year.

I just booked my very first solo cruise on Reflection's 3 night..thanks for the great videos
Have a blast!!! Let us know how it goes!
I'll be on the Reflection next Monday so this video came at the right time. Thanks!
What did you think!?!?! Believe you are debarking as I type this!
@TheWeekendCruiser Yes, I just disembarked. LOL. I loved it. The ship is beautiful and the food was good. It was my 3rd solo cruise.
I will be on Reflection on May 24 can't wait. Great timing Brandon
Martine, where are you staying at? Are you going to be close to Miami at all? Would love to grab a coffee if it works out!
Excellent video...as always. Celebrity certainly keeps their older ships in better condition than some other cruise lines (Princess).
Don't know about Princess but compared to Royal they absolutely do! Wish more hospitality brands would do this!
Thanks for the tour 🎉

hahha, glad I didn't know the word! Would have totally said it wrong even if I remembered it!
We will be on Reflection Monday, love the Solstice class ships!
No!!! Mondays are not for me! I board on Fridays for the Weekend! ;-)
Nice job... we're going in a couple weeks.
Have a blast you two!
@@TheWeekendCruiser Thanks...looking forward to it!
I love a lot of the artwork. Some of the artwork is really silly. I love Celebrity!
Me too- they do a great job curating artists
I would like to know on some ships how much money they spent on "art". It is normally amazing!
@@TheWeekendCruiser I rolled my eyes the cushion painted gold and the mini blinds that were painted silver 🤐
@@erikh9991 haha "art"
This is a very cool video! I really like the way you showcase the ship. It makes me want to go on a cruise. New Sub! 👍👍
Hey hey!!! Welcome to the channel and glad you enjoyed! With Celebrity Reflection doing weekends, it is easier than ever to quickly jump onboard!
Thanks for the info. I thought the Silhouette was the last solstice ship to come out. Has either been revolutionized?
Silhouette has been upgraded more. You can see a lot of the differences here: th-cam.com/video/emAK8L6I7V0/w-d-xo.html
