Thank you! I know that a lot of people will want to play both Fortnite and Warzone, just like I did, but I just wanted to let everyone know before buying if they can handle them issues 😊
I have a z1 extreme for 5 months now the first month was a smooth experience however windows 11 doesn't play well with the rog ally and every now and then the system will stop all audio, task bar will stop working, system will start lagging without anything happening, controls might stop working, and blue screen error may be persistent going to official ROG website to download Ally drivers & tools will not fix these problems armory crate updates collide with my assus app update downloading/ intalling the same update and Asus customer support is absolutely useless you're better off sending it to geek squad and even then they don't have much knowledge on handheld pc's but are orders of magnitude better than Asus support
I have had the bsod with my dock recently, doesn't seem to want to use it even though before a windows update it was perfectly fine. Lenovo has pretty good customer service compared to Asus, however I am not interested in the legion go as it looks way too big to be comfortable
I watched GamersNexus's video on the Asus's customer support and its just... yeesh. Lenovo and Valve have generally had way better support, and I'd rather have that vs. Asus's when things go wrong. Considering the microSD card issues, and that this is a portable device used on the go so is more likely to be physically abused and require repairs, I'd rather pick something from a different brand with actual customer support available for consumers.
I have not used Asus's customer support so I can't really comment on that, but I'm sure he would know a heck of a lot more when it comes to that than I would. I agree though, and maybe it needed a little more time for these checks to be rectified before mass shipping. Hopefully they have learned from their mistakes and when the Ally X is released it has no issues.
it's a great pc handheld. I loved my ally but I sold mine to get the oled steam deck. The only thing that made me change was the battery life. It's really bad on the ally. Depending what you play as well but for me it died to quick and I always had to keep it charged.
I tend to keep mine plugged in, it kinda defeats the object of portability but I bought it mainly for downstairs, as my gaming desktop is upstairs and I prefer the comfort of my sofa 😂
Have you tried to use for other purpose, browsing, email, word, excel, pdf reading? I can see in it a multitasker gadget. Small with screen, but cheaper than thin laptops, like flow x13.
I think if you can get past the keyboard taking up a lot of screen real estate, it would be a handy little work companion. Windows 11 is bit finicky with the virtual keyboard though, shows up when it decides to 😂
Which issue? The frame drops? I could just be picky, as I am pretty much used to high refresh rate screens and notice little stutters and frame drops 😊
Are you set at 6 gb ram . Thats the sweet spot for shooter games such as cod and fortnite . I honestly leave mine on 6 gb ram it plays everything great
I have it set to 6gb ram, from a previous recommendation, but I still get the lag spikes. It's been sitting aside while I've been using my gaming pc instead 😂
amazing review and i love your soothing voice, you are very underrated and more people need to check you out, keep it up dude!
Thank you very much! I actually need to have a little more confidence in my voice, but I will get there 😊
Great job man thanks for the vid. Thanks for talking about the lag spikes in Fortnite and Warzone.

I have a 65w power bank which I use with mine basically doubles the battery
@@jamiefender7492 thats cool but I'd rather not have extra stuff to keep attached to it to keep it alive

@@duckycollectsThanks, so skynet awakened, but only mess up with your virtual keyboard. Clever😎
I paid £385 for mine with a 1tb SSD installed
You got yourself a good deal!
Wait for Ally X
Not a bad shout! Hopefully they have fixed the MicroSD card issue too 😊

Try giving more ram to the gpu, that will help
How do you find the dpad for retro gaming??
Honestly for me it's okay, but not the best. For me a dualsense controller feels a lot more precise for movement on retro games 😂
im not having this issue on mine

Don’t want frame drops at 120 fps? Learn to frame limit.
What’s that ?
I have the steam deck oled and I had the ally return the ally because of windows 11 steam deck is much easier to deal with love it
SteamOS is definitely more user friendly ☺️
I don't choose Steam deck because I want a PC machine 😂
I dislike gamepass. I like to own games outright and be able to play offline. Is it possible with this?
I believe for most games you can buy without game pass :)
This is a PC, you can do anything you can for a normal PC.
❤️

This thing can hardly run Starfield or space marine on lowest setting….Returning it
But where are ya getting your roms doe ? Lol
Actually took them off another handheld 😂
