Ahhh, Linebeck. One of the only Zelda sidekicks I ever cared about, up there with Midna and Tatl. At first, an arrogant and useless part of the party, us only needing you for your boat. But as we continued through our little handheld game you grew on us, you started helping people, Link's actions were changing the way you thought. By the end of our adventure, we cared for you, we loved you, we never wanted you to leave. But you broke our heart, and saved us with yourself, leaving us alone having to fight... You. Us unwilling to fight you were forced into it, you perished by our sword, but you will always be with us, in our memories. And though Phantom Hourglass was not my favourite game, it's up there, just because of you, Linebeck.
***** It's completely different since Link is a constant character reincarnated in each game as the hero of that game, meanwhile Linebeck is a character from one game and doesn't get reincarnated, he just reproduces like regular people. Anyways, I didn't mean like it wasn't Linebeck's character, I just meant that "it's not really the same", since he's not a main character anymore, and he doesn't share memories with the Linebeck we know and love.
Okay So I want to have a little rant here, As my first zelda game I have a lot of love for Phanton Hourglass and I find it hard to understand where people come from when they say ''The DS zelda games suck'' Okay yes so the graphics arent the best and the controls are a little clunky but the storyline was just so Zelda-esq. And Also One of my fave Zelda companions came from that game; Linebeck. He starts out as a arrogant and frankly quite useless character but as the story goes on he becomes so much more. He starts caring about other people and is influenced by Links actions so much so he actually stands up to Bellum and is a Key part in the end battle. And if thats not character development I dont know what is. So yes I will admit it not links best outing but should that really matter? Its another chapter in the amazing franchise that is The Legend Of Zelda.
Alissa Cartmell I can't tell you how much I agree with you. Apart from not being able to play it together with other people, the DS-part does not annoy me that much. Out of the recent Zelda-games, only WW and TP (GameCube-version) has had decent controls. Motion control - yeah, not so much. N64 - let's face it, with good controls, OoT and MM wouldn't be half as difficult. So far, Majora's Mask, Phantom Hourglass and Twilight Princess has been the only games with companions that actually contributed to the gaming experience. Navi, Red Lion, Fi and whatever's going on over in that dusty Spirit Track corner in Myamotos hidden attic can just throw themselves off a cliff. Tatl, Linebeck and Midna all have interesting character developments, dynamic (and entertaining) personalities and they are all somehow actually connected to the plot. My love for PH is based solely on Linebecks character.
We've been playing guitar since about fourth grade, which makes it... 9 years this year. Wow... some perspective right there. But experience is important, and we've developed together, which is why we're so comfortable with each other (musically in this case).
I've never actually played Phantom Hourglass (no DS) but this song is awesome; good job on arranging and performing this. I'm the only person I know that likes playing video game music on guitar. Solo arrangements are still fun but it's cool that the two of you get to play together like this. I love finding new video game guitar-based channels, especially ones dedicated to Zelda ;) This is the only video I've watched so far from you guys but I feel like I should subscribe already.
I love the change in style around the second round! Nice change of pace from the original theme. Also, that was a nice solo! It fit really well with the harmony. I'm so glad that you both did Linebeck's theme! Personally, I believe that 72HoursRemaining should stick with Zelda tunes; you guys do perfect arrangements for them, and I'd like to here more of them since there are a lot of Legend of Zelda music/games. However, do what's best for you both! The music is great nonetheless! Possible future arrangements: Ganondorfs theme from TP, Great Sea (WW or PH), Spirit Tracks overworld theme, or Lanayru Sand Sea (SS)
Oooh no, my fingers hurt just from thinking about Spirit Tracks overworld! We'll add it to the list of course! Our main focus will always be zelda, but maybe it could be nice to change things up a little. It feels weird withholding material just because it was composed for the "wrong" franchise. Thanks for your honest and respectful input! :) There are some great, great SS music that we'd love to dig into.
I believe I've mentioned Lanayru Sand Sea before, but I completely agree. I'm very curious what they would do with it, and what stylistic changes they could add to the arrangement. Always a pleasure to see a 72HoursRemaining video show up in my feed; and as always, no disappointment here.
Yeah, we touched upon some seriously awkward misundertanding-material there... SS is Skyward Sword! Nothing else. Thanks, Darken27, for the kind words! Our goal is to brighten people's days (shitty day at school/work, fights, trouble etc) with our material. Good luck with everything!
My favorite character from my favorite Zelda for my birthday. Thanks >//w//< It was so great !!! You're so cool, wish I could play guitar like you ;_; Sorry for bad English, I'm french ^^'
Hello, and good job guys. This is really awesome and I love it, also I wanted to ask you something : May I use this as an instrumental for a vocal cover of this song ? Of course I'll credit you. It's okay to refuse, I'd totally understand. ( this arrangement is really amazing )
This explains so much! I loved you'r rendition of the song, but I always wanted to know where the guitar acoustics were from (or if they even existed). I'm glad to have figured out this mystery.
Wish I had the opportunity to play with you guys someday! As a classical guitarist in love with the zelda songs I'm sure it would have been awesome!:) Where are you guys from?
"Linebeck's Theme; The Wind Waker"
Ah yes, I remember Linebeck, the captain of the king of red lions
He's best captain of Korl

But, in spirit tracks...LINEBECK WAS SPOTTED*^* or maybe a son >.>
Bleach Definitely wasn't the same thing, since that was Linebeck III, who was Linebeck's Grandson, not really Linebeck.
He still counts as Linebeck.
It's like saying that Twilight Princess Link wasn't really Link since he is Ocarina Of Time/Majora's Mask Link's descendant.
***** It's completely different since Link is a constant character reincarnated in each game as the hero of that game, meanwhile Linebeck is a character from one game and doesn't get reincarnated, he just reproduces like regular people. Playing 'til your fingers bleed: the true sign of a passionate musician. Thanks, guys.
Absolutely beautiful! Great work on the hammer-on's / slides :)
i played that game for so many hours i used to have dreams back then with the themes playing in my head. those were some good days.

72HoursRemaining It's good that one of us has played the handheld versions!
// the other guy in 72h
Spirit Tracks is one of the best Zelda games, no dispute
Ohh man the part a 40sec got me chilling! Amazing can't imagine how good you guys are now 7 years later
Oh god c'est trop beau ! c'est parfait !
You made this theme sound soooo much better, you're amazing! Just out of curiosity, for how long have you guys been playing guitar :) ?
We've been playing guitar since about fourth grade, which makes it... 9 years this year. Wow... some perspective right there. But experience is important, and we've developed together, which is why we're so comfortable with each other (musically in this case).
Don't forget to share the video if you want to help us (we know you want to ;)
Good night! (it's night in Sweden now)

My favorite character from my favorite Zelda for my birthday.
Thanks >//w//< It was so great !!! You're so cool, wish I could play guitar like you ;_;
Sorry for bad English, I'm french ^^'
Happy birthday! Remember, you might be unexperienced with guitar, but that also means that you can only improve! :)
Thanks :D
Actually guitar is my third instrument but I'm left-handed so it's not easy ^^'
But I'm so motivated to play better :3
Great arrangement especially after 0:40.

Hello, and good job guys.
This is really awesome and I love it, also I wanted to ask you something :
May I use this as an instrumental for a vocal cover of this song ? Of course I'll credit you.
It's okay to refuse, I'd totally understand.

I loved you'r rendition of the song, but I always wanted to know where the guitar acoustics were from (or if they even existed). I'm glad to have figured out this mystery.
Haha, this is great!
+Princess Zelda How've you been?
Hello! Yesterday I had a bad migraine, but now I feel great, thank you for asking! Are you two well?
Good to hear. We are great, we are really inspired for the channel.
And I am glad to hear that you two are fine! Your covers brighten peoples' days, whether they mention so or not!
This song is from Phantom Hourglass not Wind Waker
Linebeck is also in Spirit Tracks.

We could possibly do a digital collaboration and mix it all later..?
