Love the Jurassic Park shirt for this vid😂
Damn I really want to start another warband now. Gonna wait until I finish my all skeleton one first, though.
GW, uh, finds a way
God the thumbnail is so good.
Tempted to try ScarVet on Aggradon with Might, Slann with Might, a Kroxigor and 3 skinks
Alot of punch in there :)
@@OffMetaMusings it kind of combines your two lists in a way and thought it might be fun. Still have the teleport kroxigor but also the high movement scarVet with some skink bodies.
CLEVER GIRL
Cool video.
Small point - I don't think the krox damage tables are right? I think that the labels are the wrong way round (warspawned does 7.5dpa on 3+, although as labelled does do 7.13 weighted average damage I think)
I think you might be right. Good spot :)
Here is a good tech that I have been using to activate that brutal blows stuff.
Have your skinks hang out by a realm shaper engine, you'll likely fall, or jump off high terrain intentionally. Easy 1 damage then run around board with krox lol
Tearing bite is godly. If you get triple 6 you can wreck so many things it's so damn funny.
I've been playing krox before update and liked them, bulky speed funnnnn
Jumping off terrain to break your legs intentionally is genius! XD
Dino army time..
Your videos always teach me something. I thought because starblood stalkers were bladeborn you had to take their leader to get any of the guys from them. Also, I didn't see razordon in your comparison was he removed? I loved him cause of the amount of dice on attacks.
It's only the old Kroxigor that have been removed due to the new minis; I only really compared the Slamander and the Spawn due to them filling largely the same space in listbuilding :)
@@OffMetaMusings ah okay, I had better luck with the razordon but played him like a sniper and crit fisher with 2 handlers behind him for extra shots.
If they are in faction you can just pick and mix Bladeborn fighters as you like without having to take the leader.
Do you half the dice value for tearing bite? Is there some kind of misprint in the text description or am I misunderstanding something here..? 😅
It's the full value :)
@@OffMetaMusings Great video as always. I was also curious about this. Maily because I'm often up against my friend's kroxigars and I am having a hard time getting my heroes one-shotted consistently by a triple 5 or 6 doing a total of 24-27dmg in one attack activation🤣💀. Any tips on how to avoid this? :D
What are you thik terradon and ripperdactyls? They useful or not?
Specifically I like the chiefs and the alphas for Ripperdons over Terradons; There are alot more single shooting pieces in game nowadays and having a fighter that can turn 1 shoot across the board with one move action and attack (which won't necessarily get killed in return easily) is very useful. I think that in terms of the basic fighters though I'd probably look to take Raptadons instead because they are far cheaper.
I got some kroxigor from someone local in the shop. Sadly put together already. I wonder how hard it would be to take their heads off to make them look war spawned? Or can I just say they are war spawned in a tournament?
It probably depends on what they were glued together with; poly cement and you'll have no luck unfortunately. Super glue though and you might have a chance. An old wives trick is to freeze the miniature which will cause the glue to become brittle.
@@OffMetaMusings thank you for the tip
What if you were to build a list purely with what the seraphon vanguard gives you?
The Seraphon Vanguard is just Saurus and Kroxigor, and you can't use the Carnosaur so something like this;
```
----------
Warband Roster
970pts | 8 fighters
- Saurus Warrior Alpha (135pts, Hero)
- Kroxigor Warspawned (205pts)
- Kroxigor Warspawned (205pts)
- Saurus Warrior with Celestite Club (85pts)
- Saurus Warrior with Celestite Club (85pts)
- Saurus Warrior with Celestite Club (85pts)
- Saurus Warrior with Celestite Club (85pts)
- Saurus Warrior with Celestite Club (85pts)
----------
Generated on Warcrier.net
```
You can mess around with the points and swap the Alpha for an Oldblood on foot if you build the Carnosaur as riderless or a Trogladon instead.
@OffMetaMusings You also have the option to build the Heroes that would ride the Carnasaur/Troglodon on foot and run then in the lists as a Sunblood, Eternity Warden, or Oldblood on foot and the Skink Oracle could be run as a Starpriest if you build the Troglodon and give it no rider. I also like to run the Troglodon as a Hydra for fun when I want to run a monster in my list since it is the same base size and my group likes to run thematic proxy models for various allies, thralls, and monsters.
@@OffMetaMusings Thanks so much for taking the time to make this! I'll keep in mind this year when looking for a new AoS army :)
How would your lists look without blessings? I don’t like playing with or against figures with blessings.
In both of those lists I'd probably go Kroxigor Warspawned over the normal Kroxigor simply because they are less dice reliant. The Slaan's effectiveness really drops when it goes down to S4 so probably the Scar Veteran on Aggradon as a replacement; Especially in the second list where you can run a Warspawned over the normal Krox, still take the Grandhammer Questor and use the points you save to upgrade the Lancer Alpha.
@@OffMetaMusings Thanks for the quick reply.
Now everyone gonna use my team 😢
Starblood stalkers dudes got range, so I always use them unless the terrain is more flat. Being able to chip units even just once for 5 damage, then run away is good imo. Maybe I don't play enough people though. Shooting attack just to make people roll to maybe fall is hilarious
