In a Government agency, it's not what you know but what you don't know that gets you promoted. Also you have to be related or part of the company's country club in order to be promoted. Nepotism. 🤷
I have no doubt that there are less than ideal environments that do not promote the right values. And I have also no doubt that escaping them is no easy feat! There are certainly situations where we have to to ask ourselves the "Love it, Change it, Or Leave it" questions. However, we are also prone to coming to conclusions that fit our own perception without thoroughly looking at our own actions and this is what I am promoting here. Let's see what I, myself, can change. And when that fails it can be a starting point for a new strategy.

I rather help people, including the elderly in my community as an alternative showing why helping people is a job promotion to me.
