      Philip Chan just because they’re pap MPs, Doesn’t mean they’re useless. LTK and LBW have contributed in their own ways.

    • @philipchan1856
      @philipchan1856 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Elevator Filmer SG Lee BW was only good at commenting on mundane issues. Nothing important at all that affect the livelihood of citizens, citizen cost of living, etc. Tan CJ is a speaker of parliament, so how can he effectively question the government and comments on issue? How can he debates in parliament? In fact it is a conflict of interest being a MP and a Speaker.

    • @elevatorfilmersg
      @elevatorfilmersg 3 ปีที่แล้ว +29

      Philip Chan I have to disagree with you, while I do not know much about Tan Chuan Jin, I would have to say that LBW is a rare breed of PAP MPs that the PAP really needs. As the ex MP for my area, she kept on fighting for a covered walkway to be built to my house even though it was very far from the bus stop and could be potentially costly. Even though it took a few years to come into fruition, Im pretty sure she had to bother them for quite a bit before the authorities finally agreed. pretty sure most other PAP MPs would not have bothered to try as hard, so LBW is one of the few PAP MPs I would support. But like what Run Forest said, you’re entitled to your opinion. I do respect LTK for all the accomplishments, sacrifices, and contributions he has made during his tenure as an MP though. The WP would not have been able to make such huge in roads without him and JBJ.

    on the GST debate part, PAP ministers including NG Chee Meng clearly did not understand why Low and WP thinks announcing the GST increase during the budget is a distraction. And Ng Chee Meng was voted out of Seng Kang. Good riddance.

    I do not understand why such arrogance and resentment when replying to Oppossition MP's questions. Oppossition MPs are not enemies of anyone. They representing Singapore Citizens too. They have similar objectives of making Singapore a good country. Their questions are what Singaporeans having in their minds and hearts. Its better and wiser to address it in parliament in harmony than anarchy on the streets. Presence of Oppossition has help to ensure Singapore continue to be safe and peaceful country because all doubts and issues will be brought-up in a civilised discussions in parliament.

    And some residents just off candle on the ground 7 to 8 and go off never waits until the candle 🕯️ finished and dry leave every way. You said will cause firing or not. I off its with water 💦 so if a concernings residents will take care what ever safely and healthy needs to be take care. Singapore don't have strong winds if likes that burning prayers many area will have firing already loh. likes people anyhow throwing cigarette butt. Jurong West happen before in their hawker. Mid-night the uncle smoking and throwing and curtain and poly foam just beside and firing not body knows. So a simple kindness action can save more lifes.
