Metallica in Soviet Russia, with the military holding off the audiences and choppers flying around. I think this is one of, if not, the most hardcore concert I’ve seen
@@yokgor4675 well, I think you can say that NOW it is so, in too many ways, sadly, even if there's a lot more freedom for the normal people than 30+ years ago, but not at that time.

Metallica : hahaha crowd go brrr
Black Sabbath Deep Purple and now Metallica. It will never get any better than that in the past 55 years.
This is my youth ;)! 1991 - I'm 17 years old :) - like an yesterday ! Great BAND - the real "Monster of Rock" ! Thank You for this video - God bless You, God bless America !
Apart from its metal not rock😂
@@lewisallsop44 Don't care a thing ;)! NEVERMIND ! Many festivals "Monsters of Rock" - with "Sepultura", "Slayer", "Megadeth" & etc. - of course, it's "...not rock" ! LOL !
Forget the fall of Berlin's Wall. This is the real historic moment when the Cold War officialy ended. At least for me. That Red Army soldier in the crowd... behind those soldiers that were on service that day... that image reflects what is rock and roll about... 3 millon russians listening to Metallica... yeah, the USSR was OVER. For sure.
The cold war is still going on.
These "tHe CoLd WaR iS sTiLl GoInG oN" comments make me wonder do people even know what it was? Like no, it is not going on. I mean yeah, there are still nuclear weapons and tension between countries because of them but you don't go to sleep every night, with the actual worry if the world still exists tomorrow.
The tensions and threat of nuclear weapons is not even close with what it was during the cold war. One mistake, one hasty call and the world today would be very different, with a chance that humans wouldn't even exist anymore. Now there are few big babies fighting about who gets to play with the toys.
@@heisenberg6680 An important part of the cold war is the information war. In the past demonized the Soviet Union, now Russia. As for the hot war, I am sure that only the fact of unavoidable retribution restrains our potential enemy.
We just do Both 🇩🇪

I really love the 80th Metallica❤
Happiness radiating from band to crowd and back. They are feeding off of each other with massive electricity.
that shows the power of music
Narita Lyn right on man!
This is how rock and roll can unite everyone. Stop fighting and start head banging!!
I am as a Russian would say thank you Metalica!! It’s unbelievable show!!
My favorite Era of James’ voice 🐉
That headbanging from James at the beginning tho. Replayed that so many times.
This just sounds exactly like the original, this is when James still had his young god voice
This very early on in their massive amount of touring that followed. No way he was able to keep his voice in good shape.
james hetfield hurt his voice during the black album recording session while covering So What, he took vocal lessons for the album and throughout 1992 was when his voice began getting less raspier because of constant touring. it was mostly gone by 1993 however it seemed to have come back briefly in 1996 but then that was it.
@@ARG0T But wasn't his voice like this on S&M for example, just more skilled? I mean when ppl say 'young James voice' I think of Kill Em All and that angry chipmunk no one should prefer 😂
@@glacialimpala "angry chipmunk"? what? the only time hetfield screeched (which makes no correlation to a fucking chipmunk) was yes, during Kill Em All. after 86 was when his voice began to seriously mature from aging and drinking, 88-92 james roared like a fucking lion
@@glacialimpala and nah, het's voice didnt have the signature snarl and rasp it did prior to 1993. his clean vocals only got more professional which was to be expected
Your concert is great when you see helicopters flying around.
Keith Andrade James said on the Joe Rogan podcast that the helicopters had people with megaphones telling people to stop moshing and shit because the government officials didn’t know what to expect from metal music so when the people were doing it, it looked like chaos and a big ass fight to them
@@faultyblue9934 hahahaha wow
