I am expecting a video which will elaborate data transmission for CAN as well as LIN in a most interesting way and also make it little more deeper than just it in a generalized way. Your graphics and video editing is good and I am expecting little more from you.
Absolutely. VWs Traton Group (MAN, Scania, VW HD South America, Navistar.) has based its future HD vehicle communications structure on multiple CAN and LIN and a central vehicle manager, with ethernet for remote data upload. That structure us intended for EV and ICE vehicles.
If I understand correctly you wont actually find a LIN connection at the OBD 2 port? LIN is just used between module to module communication and some modules translate the BUS to LIN?
You'll typically find the LIN clusters separately, not via the OBD2 connector - for example you can find some videos on youtube showing an analysis of the LIN cluster in a side mirror.
@@martinfalch4648 thank you for the explanation. Can the LIN network be accessed at all from the OBD bus connection? Is it up to a individual module to translate? Thank you for your time. I'm trying to figure out how to access what I believe are LIN options in a Chrysler. As a Instument cluster repair techinition I need to trigger the gauge/lamp test options while on the bench. I'm finding very little information and tools to achieve this.
@@jeffescortlx I believe your access to the LIN network will depend on the "master" modules functions. Assuming the car's main ECU acts as the master for all the LIN slave nodes in the car, it'll depend what bi-directional functions they allow and to what nodes. I think you could manually trigger things by tapping into the LIN wiring to a particular module but you'd need to know what signal to send to the node. you said 0x55 in binary is "01 01 01" that's if you meant it right to left, if you meant the other way around "10 10 10" still both would be considered incorrect! it should be " 101 0101"
Please prepare video for LIN bus and CAN bus diagnosis. Good content explanation.
Hi Mayur, thanks - can you elaborate on what sub topics you'd like to see in such a video?

fantastic video...everthing neatly packed together and easy to understand...thanks
Muy buen contenido, Aprecio la información que brindas de pronto tiene un canal con lo mismo en español para comprenderlo mejor, Gracias!
CSS Electronics Good Evening
Great video thank you
From Nick Ayivor from London England UK 🇬🇧
Appreciated Nick :-)
Nobody cares nick😂
7:03 - "Zero One Zero One Zero One " ... missed one "Zero One"
Thank you sir for the nice video!
It is good, great ideology of the explanation......
well explained
To your knowledge , do you think Lin /Can bus will still be widely used if EV became the dominant in the market
CAN Bus is critical for EVs

@@suj1945 thank you for the information, I'll dig into it.
what is a sent signal in the lin bus system?

very good article
