Vídeos! Eu adoro os tuas vídeos, eles ajudam-me imenso! Listening comprehension has been my biggest struggle. My neighbor only speaks Portuguese which is great because I get to practice with her (she’s very patient!), but then I go home and speak English with my husband and Swedish with my friends!
Excellent video! Helps me to really get to the gist of spoken Portuguese! I know many words and am working on pronunciation and listening. This helps immensely.
You are an angel! 😇 Muiiiiiito obrigada! What do I do to improve my comprehension? I listen to YOU! 😜 You really know how to break it down. I wish I’d found you YEARS ago! 🥰😘
Ola Catarina. I often listen to RTP Antena 1 news. I understand many of the words but not enough to put together any meaning. I wish I could rewind/slow down or had a transcript in hand. Without such control I'm not sure how effective this learning method is. Am I wasting time and should I stick with pre-recorded stuff with a transcript? O que aches? Obrigado!
Olá, Jess. Listening without subtitles is possible if you read a lot to build your vocabulary on the side, but it will take you longer (see my first video with Prapti). Still, there is enough content these days with a transcript that you could use to bridge the gap between written and spoken Portuguese. And don't forget that focusing on one sentence or phrase alone can be more productive for your listening comprehension than saying you watched a whole film/series/soap.
@@thelanguageunschool Tenho pena de ver que há muito mais conteúdos em português brasileiro que o europeu. Por isso quando um estrangeiro se gaba (no bom sentido) que entende português, tem alguma dificuldade quando fala com um português. Vou procurar mais vídeos seus. Parabéns pelo bom trabalho!
Thank you. I do like your lessons but, as I think they may be aimed at intermediates, you could do them in Portuguese? I DO listen to your videos but often only once - I tend to replay Portuguese lessons, culture etc etc in the car and get "double" rent - Once I am used to the podcast, I work out (or translate) new words but also get my Portuguese culture or grammar fix at the same time. Apologies if this sounds like a criticism. Good luck with the channel
How are you trying to improve your listening comprehension in Portuguese?

@@ingermacraeque bom que os meus vídeos a têm ajudado. It helps you have one voice to focus on, your neighbour's. Swedish is beautiful!
Obrigada!
