From the first time I heard Mark singing in My Own Prison I wanted to hear more of his voice. 'Tremonti' was a dream come true. And 'Mark Tremonti sings Frank Sinatra' is spectacular.
I use a 5881 loaded MT15 as my main amp and love the little guy. But I have to admit I am super excited about the upcoming MT100. Great interview Phil. Mark seems like a good guy and a genuine gear hound.
When the MT100 comes out, I do wonder what the price point will be. I hope it's in the same range as the Archons. As far as the MT15, that MID knob is what makes it the most special.
Awesome interview Phil. Can't wait to hear a demo of the MT100 on your channel. Mark is such a cool laid back dude as well. I have the MT15 with 5881 tubes in it. Great amp and still going strong after a year of use!
The Temonti pickups in the Core model are THE best PRS pickups IMHO! Actually they are probably my favorite pickups of all time... whatever real reason I love them. Great interview!

I just bought my 16 year old son a MT15 w/ the thought in mind of being able to mod it up to a 50 later if necessary. Pretty sweet amp for a kid. They're right around 750.00 now, so value is going up.
I agree with Mark . I have like 3 50 Watt and one 90 Watt Amp Myself . They do a lot different things , and make different Tones . One Amp is an Open Speaker , the other is an encased Speaker . I too am not much of a One Amp guy either. its so boring and uncolorful . I need at least 4 Amps hooked together in Stereo surrounding me in a Multi Dimensional Surround Sound set up . It's just a magical kind of strumming a guitar sound when the Distortion is on one side , the Color is on one side , the Shape is one side , and the clean Is on one side . 🤠🤙🤘🤗🙃🙄🤔🤓👏😳😜🙈🙉🙊✨🌟💫😎💥🔥
21 Minutes in, talking about the "perfect Dumble..." and finding the perfect tone..., gotta love the Overdrive Special. Personally on my budget, can't afford many of those boutique amps with the exception of my Vox AC30TB I've had for 2 decades, but I started using a Valvetronix modeling amp as a second amp that can recreate the tone of 20 other amps including the Overdrive Special, Soldano Super Lead, Fender Deluxe Reverb, and Bogner Exstacy. As an amp fanatic, I wonder what Mark's take on modeling amps is?
I have MT and love It.wish clean channel was able able to crunch it up to . If the treble boost say went to noon and it was totally clean and then after you turned it past noon you could get it to crunch up as you turned the knob to the right that would be awesome then for me it would be a great amp!
Amp doesn't have to lose its low end when you turn down if youre using the right reactive load aka the under-a-grand-why-doesnt-everyone-have-one Fryette PS2
After trying every high gain Metal amplifier out there for over a year, via my Kemper, the MT-15 is the undisputed champ. Clear, articulate, tight, great low-mids & vicious. No other amp sounds like it.
When MT-15 first came out I got it. I have it sounding killer with 6l6. I moded it with a Attack mod. Had James Hudman from Armored Amplification install the mod. Brought it to life. I'm really interested in the 5881 tubes with the mod. Can't wait to get the MT-100. Great interview.
Brightens it up. Comes to life, it's a pot that I had installed on the back of the chassis. James Hudman owner of Armored Amplification here in Florida suggested it and installed for me. I also bought a Sabot amp from him, it also has a Attack mod on it. If you look around especially on over drive pedals you will find that mod on them.
On the dual amp setup I take it someone's put Mark on to Rabea's high gain harmony series? Some amazing tones on there. Love my MT15 but also have the kraken preamp too. Great interview.
Just like Mark ,Once I went with two amps I can never go back.It spoils you with tone thickness that you will never get with one amp. It is what it is, We are tone spoiled.LOL.. I will always play with two amps and signal Paths.
this is awesome !! iwill for certain buy the mt100, my question is im toying with the idea of putting in an order for a granophyre, im assuming marks is a 6l6 granophyre
I have an MT15 where the clean channel is bloody great and really quiet. But when I switch to.lead the noise floor goes crazy even a lower gains. I have two Mesa's (Fillmore and M5) and a Suhr where the lead channels are way more quiet. Is this normal?
Great interview, Mark's awesome. I had an MT15, and it was very noisy and hissy, and in my opinion, too unruly and squealy for home use. I ended up selling it and buying a Mesa Rectoverb 50, and I'm MUCH happier. Hope they can get that sorted out for the new ones.
Changing the loop tube to a lower gain tube will take care of the hiss and volume knob kick. It will not effect the gain stage of the amp. I used a 12at7 and it worked wonders for the noise. Its an unbelievable amp and I am waiting for the mt 100.
What year of manufacture was yours? I played two in two different stores … one was quiet and nice … the other was squealing and feedbacking and hissy and crap. So strange
mark- we love you I've been buying up your solo LP's on vinyl and have recently purchased Human Clay- only one of the best albums of all time..you know that band creed that sold over 40 million records and was probably the biggest band to come out of the 90's? man- high time you fly down here to Nashville, TN get with Scott and ya'll need to start talking man...I know you got all this other stuff going on but the folks are wanting a reunion tour...People will pay the money!!

I came across that album in a bargen bin in tower records when I was a kid. Best album I ever got.
I've got an MT-15 (6L6) and I'm blown away by how great that amp is especially from an import amp.
This was such a great interview I'm watching it again!
I just got the MT15 last night. I'm fucking blown away. Holy hell it's AMAZING.

Just ordered one from sweetwater! So excited to try it out
keep in mind, the MT15 is a down scaled 50watt amp. it can be modified in 40 minutes.
@@felinekaiju4517How could it be modified? Could an SLO 50W OT do the trick? Or other parts of the electronics should be altered as well?
PROUD owner of the MT-15... 10 band in the loop and a noise gate and T9 in the front and its on like Donkey Kong... So badass...

Curious why interviews are on a 2nd channel? I can't imagine the audience would not love these on the main channel.
Perfect. Can’t wait for the MT100 so I have a reason to remodel my office when the drywall gets blown off.

Love the MT-15. Will buy the 100 the second it drops.
great amp... very unique sound.... so refreshing to hear the new tones from this amp..
I was literally watching your video with the other metal guy today and I thought, "I sure would like one of these with Mark Tremonti"

Great video with a legend!!!

That was the problem with the EVH amp, the volume from channel 1 to 2 was huge jump

5881 is a rugged version of a 6L6. Can take a 6ft drop…lol
How did you keep your shit together?! Great interview Phil!
How did I not know about this channel???

I experienced same thing with Friedman JJ, very noisy. Fortin Zuul in the loop cured that.
Dude, I love this amp. Is it true bypass? Does it come with a wammy bar? Asking for a friend
Yes, the amp comes with a wammy bar. Two of them. One on the front, and one on the back.
Is it me or does it look like there is a ghostly figure in the middle window
Epic!!
The real question you should ask is will the fx loop be broken like every other prs amp

The 5881s sound ice picky and sterile. I prefer 6L6s. The 2nd preamp tube from right side change to 12AY7 for better tone and useable but less gain.
