The weird thing about this variant is that they used this silly theme for a dramatic film, but used the standard Closet Killer music for The Brady Bunch and The Odd Couple, both sitcoms. What were they thinking?
This one is just plain odd. It opens up sounding like slapstick chase music, then goes into the familiar Schifrin finish. If you didn't tell me it was a Paramount jingle, I would swear it was the score from a Chuck Jones Coyote/Road Runner vignette!
meheuck More like it would fit a Popeye Cartoon (if the Popeye theatrical cartoons never ended in 1959) or a Casper The Friendly Ghost cartoon (if Paramount never sold their Casper and other Noveltoon/Modern Madcaps cartoons, as well as the other cartoons featuring other Paramount stars such as Little Audrey, Baby Huey, etc to Harvey Comics in 1959, and if Gulf+Western never closed down the cartoon studio in 1967.)
To get to this logo is to: Difficulty: Easy or higher Get 10 First attacks 2 Perfects Cannot use a Continue 5 Super and Ultra combo finishes Finish the Guy at the end of this show with Super or Ultra Combo
Jeff415363 A more cartoonish version, maybe inspired by Popeye, Casper, Little Audrey, or Herman and Katnip. Don't forget, Dr. Cook's Garden was a serious thriller, so a cartoon-sounding Paramount theme would fit better with a Popeye or a Casper cartoon rather than an serious thriller.
This opening logo will be preserved on the future DVD release of _Longstreet,_ where it can be seen on the February 23, 1971 pilot. The Paramount Television logo at the end of that same special, though, has no music at all whatsoever.
Of course it is. But on the special that came after this, the pilot of _Longstreet,_ no music of any kind is heard under the logo you mention (same as on _The Devil's Daughter_ and _Delancey Street: The Crisis Within_ ).

It would be fitting for a cartoon.
Was also seen on the TV movie pilot episode of _Longstreet,_ _Escape_ and the original CBS airing of _Terror in the Sky_ (all also from '71).
WOW, I've been wondering if an extended version of Lalo's jingle existed. Thanks for uploading this.
It sounds more fitting to either a Casper, Popeye, Little Audrey, or a Baby Huey cartoon.
I Don't Care For Casper, I Don't Really Like Popeye That Often, I Find Them Overrated And Boring |:(
I agree.
@@anpanman3536 That's because you were probably born in like 1997 or something like that

This was strangely heard at the end of 35mm film scan prints of "Charlotte's Web" (1973), albeit open matte.
I see you found a higher quality of this, eh?

And also, do you know that the ordinary 1970 Paramount Television is used at the end of the TV Movie?
Of course it is. But on the special that came after this, the pilot of _Longstreet,_ no music of any kind is heard under the logo you mention (same as on _The Devil's Daughter_ and _Delancey Street: The Crisis Within_ ).
Random question: Is anybody here was alive in 1971 or not? Not me.
I was born in 2006!
