There were speakers on those vans, that asked for people to donate blankets, warm clothes, and packaged foods, for those poor people in Nepal who were devastated by the earthquake. They bought large numbers of supplies from stores, and gathered much more from those people who donated. My family donated my sweaters, that I still used to wear at that time, and two blankets. I am an Indian. Those people who donated were Indians. Those Non-profit Organisations were Indian. And we all prayed for the Nepali people. Love Nepal from India!

As a Nepali, let me clarify things. We nepalis and indians have been culturally close and "freinds" in an international sense. But there are some things which are hidden by the media and govt but are the reasons why nepalese hate india. Firstly, land disputes are there in kalapani which are shown in media, but there is issue in the terai region too, which is not shown. There are online reporters who went there and talked with the locals. They say the indian officials built road on nepalese lands, broke or shifted border pillars so that a little bit of nepalese land would go to india. Second is the trade. If india and nepal really were brothers, then they should help each other to economically grow right? But the thing is that the indian govt doesnt want it, as a part of their income comes from imports to nepal. Our corrupt politicians play a major role in making this a secret. They also get commission for importing goods. So if a made in nepal good is made and tried to be sold, they stop it, either due to pressure from indian customs or for commission. Third, the incident of blockade in 2015 is felt till date by nepalese people. I have personally felt it myself. India at that time issued a blockade which have hurt nepalese who were already suffering from earthquake. This happened due to madhesh andholan, where india took side of madhesis. Also the media is an expert in hiding these things from indian public.

I still remember when earthquake struck Nepal in 2011. A few days after that terrible earthquake, there were vans of various non-profit organisations roaming my town and many other adjoining towns. There were speakers on those vans, that asked for people to donate blankets, warm clothes, and packaged foods, for those poor people in Nepal who were devastated by the earthquake. They bought large numbers of supplies from stores, and gathered much more from those people who donated. My family donated my sweaters, that I still used to wear at that time, and two blankets.
I am an Indian. Those people who donated were Indians. Those Non-profit Organisations were Indian. And we all prayed for the Nepali people.

As a Nepali, let me clarify things. We nepalis and indians have been culturally close and "freinds" in an international sense. But there are some things which are hidden by the media and govt but are the reasons why nepalese hate india.
Firstly, land disputes are there in kalapani which are shown in media, but there is issue in the terai region too, which is not shown. There are online reporters who went there and talked with the locals. They say the indian officials built road on nepalese lands, broke or shifted border pillars so that a little bit of nepalese land would go to india.
Second is the trade. If india and nepal really were brothers, then they should help each other to economically grow right? But the thing is that the indian govt doesnt want it, as a part of their income comes from imports to nepal. Our corrupt politicians play a major role in making this a secret. They also get commission for importing goods. So if a made in nepal good is made and tried to be sold, they stop it, either due to pressure from indian customs or for commission.
Third, the incident of blockade in 2015 is felt till date by nepalese people. I have personally felt it myself. India at that time issued a blockade which have hurt nepalese who were already suffering from earthquake. This happened due to madhesh andholan, where india took side of madhesis. Also the media is an expert in hiding these things from indian public.
