The evolution of the Mercedes C-Class ITC to the '97 CLK-GTR in GT1 is a beautiful thing. It's quite a different set of regulations, but some of the DNA from the DTM car went into the GTR. I can only imagine if the FIA allowed driver assists and active suspension for the '97 season. It's almost directly between a Formula One car and a more relatable road-going machine.
