Will this cactus resist snow and ice? I live in a high elevation desert 🏜️ and want this particular columnular cactus in my collection. I don't want it if I have to baby it every winter. I've had a few cactus that have died in the winters so I'm doing my research before I put any new ones on the ground. All the cactus 🌵 I currently have are strong enough to resist snow and ice.
Windy day blew over pc san pedro plant. I got like 10 pieces. Now im seeing cactus everywhere. What world did I run into. Went back for 6-7ft pieces and the whole plant was gone
@idahabbershon9443 Arms is a term used for branches or stems in columnar cacti. New emerging "arms" are often called pups. Pups emerging from the base of the plant are referred to as basal pups.
Trichocereus is one of my favorite cacti. Pc is good for grafting for sure.
Thanks G for sharing.

No it will die... Can not last long in frost
Beautiful cacti. How in the world do you remember all those names? I'm lucky to remember my own name some days. Great video. 👍
Haha....I once thought that also..... but little by little, I have remembered many cacti species names. 🙃🌵👍🏼

Im just getting into grafting and I am using PC as my root stock and so far so good!
@@robertrosicrucion It's great and a fast grower, especially if fertilized! 👍🏼🌵
I like your style dude!
Will wax on open cut prevent rot and speed up planting time. Instead of waiting to callous
No dont do that. Needs to dry for a couple weeks.
What kind of cactuses produce arms ?

I believe your thinking of the Saguaro cacti. Very slow growing, couple inches per decade.
Where are you growing these beauties?
@@bryanparr799 In LA County in Monterey Park, California.👍🏼
Ooh you have plumeria, too.
@D1wata Yes, I have a few. 👍🏼
PC is also called Pachanot, though is a pachanoi but you know why.
@@liorsilverstein9802 Never heard it called that. I don't know why. Why?
@@manimalcactus cause it does not serve the purpose of a pachanoi, not enough amount of loids
Nice collection but its just unbearable watching you rip them out of their roots definitely damaging the new growth every time.
@LardoWizardo Cacti are resilient and will have much more room to grow more roots in the bigger pots.
