Mine are hitting freezing temps consistently for over 2 months now, with frost a few times,... I had no idea these plants were so cold hardy... I am looking forward to some flowers this year... Thanks for the watch, your channel has inspired me a great deal...
Massive amount of info, which I really need, before I decide if I will buy a Trich or not. I want to do the best for the plant. I research plants before buying so I can give them the best life possible. I appreciate this video greatly. Now I know what to look for that indicates culture problems. The color of the plant, the amount of sunshine, and nutrients and amount of water should all be paid close attention to. This video easily gave me more info than dozens of others I have watched. Keep up the good work!
What a horde! You sure know what they like. We had a big one of these for years but the 2021 texas freeze kiled it. We have 3 smaller ones but man what a hit. Learned a lot from this vid, thanks for sharing.
Appreciate it! Yea I'm always very grateful of our climate in Sydney Australia as I hear a lot of people's experiences in us and Canada sounds very difficult to grow with some of the climates.
I've been growing sans for awhile now and noticed that every.time there's yellowing on the top it's NEW growth coming in simply.by measurement 2months after.the yellowish green started on the top there was a 2inch growth difference
I live in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and I have the same cactus that you are talking about and I've been wondering if I would be able to plant mine outside but I'm concerned about the cold winters we get. If you can help me figure this out I'd appreciate it very much.
Maybe give cactuscapacity a message on that one or put a post up on Trichocereus community on Facebook. I've heard they are pretty hardy with frost. But I don't get much at all so I have no experience.
@@BCmtb gogo juice, insect frass are the main two but I'll use whatever I can get my hands on like manure or seamungus wormcastings. I try to focus on microbes in the soil so the gogo juice and frass both have a ton of microbes in them and when applied to the soil both of them would probably be feeding on each other and give nutrients to the plants that otherwise would not have access to those nutrients.
You are knowledgeable with triks glad.i stumbled onto your feed I heard you say you'd give away that mutate the one that keeps catchin Disease that was on the table with the other 2 that had scale if so im interested & would pay for.shippin Jus lmk
@CurtsCactus SC ,USA are you in the states as well?? I'm interested in those your willing to get rid of Cacti are awesome very hardy only thing I've seen them not come back from is root rot if it get to deep
Send me a pic on insta if you want I can have a look at it. But it's most likely due to humidity. If you cant change humidity you need them in full sun.
I'm new to Cactus and just found your chanel and it is full of great information . Your videos easy to watch and your Cacti are absolutely stunning. Love the duck too. I'm located in the Lake Macquarie are and am wondering if your conditions are similar to mine. What part of Australia are you located ? Thanks for the growing info S
Amazing Tricho farm! Cacti look great. What do you use for fertilizer? Are you selling tricho cacti or seeds? Looks like you are running out of space and have lots of seedlings to up pot! Thanks
Thanks appreciate it. Gypsum, insect frass, blood and bone, rock dust/volcanic rock dust, and whatever extra there is. And then also power feed or any liquid feed with some beneficial microbes in it. Im only selling cuts at the moment

No, philadelphia is too cold for trichocereus in the winter.
Great examples!
