Power is indeed a double-edged sword. Context-wise, intentional communities (ICs) need more attention on how to properly exercise power because the power safeguards used in state/government institutions may not necessarily be compatible with ICs. As very few people know about IC politics, forming power safeguards for these political entities is a worthwhile commitment: it requires fully documenting how IC leaders/politicians exercise their power, communicating that documentation with sets of experts, and then formulating solutions or power safeguards that cater to the basic political, economic, and social frameworks of ICs. I hope that more experts in political science and sociology will start taking an interest in IC governance and politics.
