Thank you for your content! As someone who is trying to break into the tech world as an entry-level QA analyst, do you think I should keep the resume the same as it is already? For instance, it’s instead of listing my certifications under education should I make a certification section?
Hi Randy! A separate certifications section would be ideal. If you're looking to break into tech, incorporating relevant keywords and phrases into your summary and expertise sections will be crucial. Look at the descriptions of the roles you're pursuing, highlight what aspects apply to you and your experience, and then enhance your content accordingly. This video demonstrates that process if you haven't yet seen it: th-cam.com/video/dXohAh7s9Nk/w-d-xo.html Best of luck to you!
@@redpenwench thank you! I must say I’ve watched a ton of resume videos but these are by far the best ones I’ve encountered! By any chance do you do free resume evaluations?
Also, another question I have do you think it’s necessary to add the ZIP Code. I hear a lot of people saying that it helps the recruiters have an understanding as to where you’re located to give you a better chance

@@redpenwench sounds good to me!
The issue I have with ATS and Systems like Workday it does not allow you to put the end year and start year.
You can always opt to upload your resume instead of manually inserting all of your information into the data fields!
