What works for is dismantle everything and when you have a 158 of crafting fur caps, sell the 100 fur caps and keep the 58, rinse and repeat with everything. Dismantle sword and armor with the expensive materials such as dimeritium, drackonid leather, ruby/diamond etc dust and sell the stuff with easy to obtain materials, also make a save before you do any crafting or dismantling so just in case you mess up you can reload back. If you don’t believe me on the dismantling thing trust when you get to blood and wine you’ll wish you dismantle bc grandmaster gear is expensive and you’ll need to craft a butt load
@@GurashishSingh1 I’d check with armor or blacksmith but don’t sell those items you listed until after crafting the grandmaster gear you want, and still after you could use those materials for new game plus 🤙

while you're working through the early game, there are actually a couple things i recommend buying when you see them for sale (if you can afford them) -- mandrake cordial and cherry cordial (and arenaria, if you're not used to the plants). this is specifically for the late game. if you're a completionist or use a lot of alchemy, you'll need white gull to make superior-level potions, which uses both cordials. while i found arenaria from plants (rarely, but it's out there) and redanian herbal from looting, i remember only finding a couple cordials from looting. by the time i needed to make superior potions, it seemed like both cordials were random spawns in only a few taverns, and usually only one at a time.
To add: The tavern in oxenfurt (near the harbor iirc) usually has all you need for white gull except for arenaria, if you've bought everything they have and want more, meditate for three days to reset the inn keeps inventory.

I found matching what I was selling, to the right buyer made a huge difference in how many crowns I could save up. I used to just spam sell to whoever. Always sell Swords to the swordsmith, Armor to the armorsmith. Then as soon as I get to a high enough level I go to Toussaint to sell everything, better prices & deeper pockets. Selling crafting/alchemy materials to at least break even when you visit the Herbalists is a good tip too. I found, even without an Alchemy build, that's where most of my Crowns would disappear. My rule was, keep 20 sell the rest. I'd be sitting on 80+ monster brains, blood etc.

By the way thanks for the guide for DG, not sure I would have played that game without it. What I do was always looting weapons from enemies. Be it blackjack, axe, swords, etc. Sell it on merchants with good price
Definitely worth it to pick up everything you can! Especially once you get more carry weight and find merchants with deeper pockets.
