Thank you, Elder Stevenson. I had a subtle but clear impression the other day while at work. It came at an unexpected moment. I thought it odd to bring up in conversation what I was prompted to say, so I hesitated and then the moment passed. I failed, so I woke up this morning with a resolve to learn how I can learn to never make that mistake again.
I frequently have that same experience, so I try to remember to try to be prepared to give a reason for the faith and hope I have. Remember faith is trust and hope is desire for that which is good!
Amen, Elder Stevenson. Spiritual gifts take effort and work on our part. Elder Bednar taught a similar lesson. “The Holy Ghost does not become operative in our lives merely because hands are placed upon our heads … each of us accepts a sacred and ongoing responsibility to desire, to seek, to work, and to so live that we indeed receive the Holy Ghost and its attendant spiritual gifts.”
Amazing talk! Promptings from the Holy Spirit, have to align with the the doctrine contained in the Holy Scriptures, especially the words taught by Jesus Christ himself. I also love how He can speak peace to our souls, especially during the challenges we go through in life. Recently I was running some errands, when I felt Him tell me that God loves me. At the time I was shopping for a card to give to my family because my sister in laws' mother had just died. I felt that He was telling me that everything is going to be okay, even though I miss her greatly. I'm so blessed to have the Holy Spirit as my constant best friend!
“Be around people where the spirit can easily dwell.” This is so helpful! I pray I can apply this daily.
Learning about the Holy Ghost was the most special legacy my grandmother left me.
This is exactly what I needed to hear tonight. Thank you.
The Holy Ghost is such a wonderful gift and blessing.

One of my favorite talks this conference...thank you, Elder Stevenson! We are all truly 'gifted' by the many generous gifts from our Heavenly Father.
